Lived in MX for years, this is the best I have had.. Gourmet style food. Upper end prices, but still very reasonable for what superb food you get. My favorite…….my dinner was $25. BTW, the female owner is great to talk with, approach her. I got to have a 20 min. discussion with the Exec. Chef, Jesus! He is awesome. Try the Poblano rice (usually with fish dishes).I will go there for as long as they are open!
It was very good. 13 wk travel work assignment here. No one would rec km end Mexican restaurant at work. Went on line. This restaurant did not disappoint! The tamale I had Beas the best I have had in years. I loved my whole meal. I also loved the salsa a d chips. I am from northern US but part of my childhood was in southwest. Excited to have some good Mexican cuisine for a few weeks. This was so good!
Excellent Service. Had dinner at Via Real twice the week of April 22.The menu is interesting because they offer various Tex-Mex standards (fajitas, cheese enchiladas, crispy tacos) as will as very traditional Mexican dishes (ceviche), sea food and fantastic grilled meat. On alternating nights I had a fantastic chili relleno, cheese enchilada and taco and the second night a dry aged prime strip steak with lobster mashed potatoes. The food is very good, but the service is what really stands out. One of my party had a severe, and a bit rare, food allergy that is not easily accommodated in restaurant. The staff at Via Real accommodated those needs without question, and without severe restrictions on menu choices, which leads me to believe most of the food is prepared fresh, to order, when ordered. We did have a couple of very minor food issues (meat temperature) but those were addressed immediately and without question. The restaurant even offered complimentary dessert and coffee for the trouble. The Tex-Mex menu is very accordable. The seafood and grilled meat menu is priced higher but is competitive with other restaurants of similar quality.
Wonderul service w/ attentive wait staff. Fantastic menu selections.
Great Food, Great Service!. We have been going to Via Real for 25 years or so and will continue to for a while to come. It was always a great spot for Gourmet Mexican when we had clients in from out of town and also for special occasions. We finally went back after not eating there in a couple of years, to find Diego and many of the same waiters who have been there for quite some time. Diego said he’s been there 27 years, now that says a lot about the quality of everything there. Fran Mathers, the friendly owner, was also there, busily visiting and helping with guests. You can’t meet a nicer bunch of people, they make you feel welcome and are always attentive to your needs and desires. But I also have to admit that the food is excellent… my wife loves the Squash Enchiladas, you won’t find anything like it anywhere else. I had the Sea Bass and it was awesome. We’ll keep going back… and telling others about this great restaurant.
Food was great, service was great. Went with a group of 14 and they took good care of us. Ask first about separate checks. Probably a 3$ restaurant. Diego was Outstanding!!!!
