My favorite BBQ this side of 45!. We eat here as a family at least every other week and I personally bring most my clients here for lunch. Ribs are always right, brisket is great, spuds are the best and their sauce beats any other chain!
Poor Customer Service and So-So BBQ. I’ve given this place many, many tries but continue to be unimpressed with their BBQ & service. We normally get food To Go. Red River won’t give you pickles, onion or bread unless you ask. Really?? What kind of BBQ place does this? Apparently you must also ask for any kid drinks that come with meals because they won’t automatically give them to you even though they’re part of the meal. Brisket is routinely dry and baked potatoes under cooked. Actually got hung up by front counter worker when I inquired about missing items from my last order. Spoke to a manager (Trine) in person about this and he acted like it was acceptable customer service. Save your time and money. There are much better tasting BBQ in the area with friendlier staff.
Everything is good but the ribs are the BEST!!
Best Ribs in Town. The food quality has fallen off as of late. It seems as though ever since they switched from huge slices of corn bread to individual corn muffins, which are much drier and a lot less tasty, some of the other items have suffered as well. The pintos and fried okra (my standard) are still good, but not great. What is GREAT is the delicious taste and wonderful consistency of the BBQ ribs. Simply put, these are flat out the best in Houston. Worth the trip from anywhere in town if you love ribs.
Great pulled pork and ribs. Moved here from east coast and finally found a great pulled pork sandwich. Just add BBQ sauce, hot sauce, cole slaw and a little mustard. My wife says they have the best ribs she has ever had. Sides are just OK, except for onion rings, which are awesome. Must be those Texas onions. Can’t offer an opinion on the brisket, just not my thing.
Great BBQ!. In from out of town…looking for great BBQ-this was spot on! We had the all you can eat pork ribs for $12.99-yes I did say only $12.99! The ribs were fabulous. Make sure to dip them in the house BBQ sauce. The restaurant is not fancy. You order at the counter and seat yourself. We visited on a Saturday night when they had a live band playing; It was nice. Enjoy!
