I had an office lunch here and i really enjoyed the atmosphere, decor and friendly service. The menu is really expansive! If you bring a big crowd, theres enough variety on the menu to choose from to please everyone.
I loved this restaurant when it opened on the South Side near my work. This location is closer to home. My favorite thing to order is the boneless chicken wings mild and a salad. I’m picky with my salads and they have really fresh salads. My husband likes the rattlesnake pasta. The atmosphere is exactly the same in each location I have been to. It could be a little overwhelming I guess to some since there is so much to look at.
Our huge group chose this location tonight and because all restaurants get so crowded on Saturdays we opted to go at 530. Parking lot is weird and tiny, built on a slope. When we arrived there was already a 20-minute wait but we calmed the little ones in our party as best we could and waited. Finally our number was called and we were seated at a very strange corner booth that is supposed to seat 10 but it’s arranged so you can’t really talk to anyone across the table.We ordered fried pickles and spinach dip/chips as appetizers and they were both served promptly, very fresh and hot. We ordered fried shrimp, fried fish/shrimp, taco salads, sandwich and salad, tortilla soup, Cajun chicken salad, bacon cheeseburger and several child’s plates from the huge menu. Everything was fine and portions are large for the price. Nothing inspiring but nothing horrible either and our server was very knowledgable and efficient. For nine entrees, two kids’ plates, two appetizers, nine drinks (tea and soft drinks), two beers and a margarita the tab came to $113.54 before tip. It’s decent food and they have so many choices everyone gets what they want. We will probably be back.
Great food and service! The baby back ribs were perfectly seasoned and tender. The traditional salad was fresh with tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, cheese, and boiled egg halves. My side of bbq baked beans complimented the ribs just right.
We really like the 54th Street off of 281 North but find that the Pat Booker location is not quite as good. The hostesses were chatting at the podium when we arrived, and we were standing there before being acknowledged. We went to the bar to wait for a table and found that the bartender could not find a bar rag to wipe the bar (fortunately our table was then called). The table service was then fine, and the food was good. The only reasons I could think of for the lack of detail were the relative newness of the restaurant, and the difference of affluence near the two locations. The customers here deserve the same attention to detail, regardless of demographics, as the Stone Oak location.
Big menu with numerous 54th Street signature items. Food’s very good, wait staff attentive. Ambiance was entertaining with movie memorabilia all over the place. Didn’t hang out in the bar or back patio but seemed a good gathering. Will be back again with the family.
