Ate here for lunch. Wasn’t real busy which is good because the restaurant is small. I ended up talking with the owner and server a while and they both were real nice. I had heard the egg rolls were good so I ordered some as an appetizer. They were pretty good. For my main meal I ordered the two meat plate with pork ribs and brisket. When they open up the back door to get the meat you can see the smoker churning away so the anticipation was great. Well the meat was a bit of a disappointment. The brisket could have used some more seasoning and several pieces were real tough. The ribs were better. If I’m in the neighborhood I’d probably try it again.
I can’t say much about the restaurant experience, as I ordered from Eat Out In, but I can vouch for the food. I love, love, love their barbecue sauce and brisket. It really hit the spot. We’ll definitely be ordering again.
I walk in for lunch on a Tuesday and they were closed. Check their website for their hours. However they said others had come too and there was brisket she could heat up. I didn’t want to intrude but it became clear they didn’t mind. Off the bat, I like the service. The brisket was traditional and phenomenal, all the sides are homemade (including the spring rolls and the sauces), and everything I had was delicious. The owner is Laotian, but only the chicken and the ribs are prepared with Laotian spices/methods. I will definitely be back (when they’re open) to try the ribs.
