Food is bland and has no taste. Service is horrid as well. The only thing going for this place is the building. Beautiful building, but the food is not worthy of such a nice building. Just go get a patio dinner from United…it has more flavor than this place.
Our first visit to Albarran”s was on a Tuesday. The food was outstanding and our server, Ace, did a wonderful job. He made sure we were well taken care of. We will be eating at Albarran’s again.
Awesome queso and salsa with chips. I loved the Paloma- they made it just right! Other drinks were all good too. I had beef quesadillas and they were really good. Everyone else with me loved what they got too!
First time there- parking lot looked crowded, but plenty of tables inside and we were seated right away. Food was very good (queso, shrimp quesadilla & crispy chile relleno), waiter was very good- no complaints! Will definitely go again!
Our first trip and we were very impressed. Chips were best we have ever had & two salsas also good. Husband had Lesley’s plate with Shrimp; I had the Pork Carnitas. Both were delicious, hot when served and seasoned just right. Taylor our waitress was so attentive making sure we had everything we needed. The manager also checked on us. Finished by sharing a slice of Key Lime pie. We will be back!!
Just recently had the chance to try this place out! We went on a Thursday during lunch and were very pleased! The service was great, with an attentive and friendly waitstaff. We both ordered off of the lunch menu and ordered from the kids menu for our daughter. Great portions all around and good prices to match! We ordered the Chile Relleno, Enchiladas, and the kids Burrito plate. All around really good TexMex offerings. We will be back!
I have no clue how to pronounce the name of this restaurant. Son and I decided we would give it a try and it didnt look extremely busy. The building itself is really cool looking. We go inside and we were greeted by 95 young girls who looked between 12 and 16. I am kidding, there were probably only 12. I am not sure what they were all doing. I think they were doing what girls do at that agetalking about boys. The girl who took us asked if we wanted to go upstairs. I said no. I dont do stairs. (She did not mention they had an elevator which was cool or I might have reconsidered). Then she said how about the bar? I said noI normally do not drink at restaurants. So then she just sat us in the general ground floor seating which was fine. I noticed they have a patio also, which looked nice. Seems like she should have greeted us and said we can sit you upstairs, downstairs, in the bar or out on the patio. Just a suggestion. I look around and the place is really nice. There are quite a few tvs and they are not mounted too high. I was really liking the place and excited to try it out. I have gone to their restaurant in Amarillo a few times and the one in Midland and both were great with great service. I had high hopes. Then it happened. It was like we had the life sucked out of our bodies. We were greeted by waitress from hell (WFH) and I use the term greeted loosely. She did not exactly greet us. She took our drink order and said she would be back with chips and salsa and take our order. She was not friendly. I repeat: Not Friendly! We both ordered the beef fajita quesadillas. I had water and son had diet coke. The chips were amazingly good. Very thin, although I would had preferred less salty. The salsa was excellent but could have had more heat. Overall I was pleased but I noticed half the basket of chips were broken pieces. I wondered if they recycle chips from departing guestsGod I hope not.We then waited for what seemed like a very long time considering they were not busy. A young boy came by and brought us a new basket of chips but no salsa and we were out of salsa. WFH eventually comes by and says she will check on what is taking so long with our food order. Why not just do it and not tell us? Son had run out of drink and sat there for a good 10 minutes with no drink. WFH was off doing whatever it was she does, and no other employees walking by bothered to notice. No salsa, drinks emptythis is not good service. You could even have one of those young girls up front who were just chit chatting go around periodically and see if anyone needs anything. Also noticed a lot of broken chips scattered on the floor and they could maybe sweep those up periodically? Just a thought. Then we got our entrees. It looked good although the quesadilla was resting in the Pico juices on both of or plates so that part got soggy. It was also cold. My theory is that it had been ready for about 15 minutes and it was just sitting there whilst WFH was off hiding in a closet texting to her bf/gf. The meat did not have a lot of flavor and was chewy with gristle. The cup of queso we ordered was pretty good although not very hot. Oh yeah, and WFH didnt notice we had no salsa and she just dumped the plates and ran off. I noticed the table to our left had a male waiter, and the table to our right had a different male waiter. I am not sure how the hell they assign tables at this restaurant. Perhaps WFH had our table and then one in the bar and then one outside and maybe one upstairs. Either that or she was in the closet hiding. We literally did not see her again. We ate our meal and just sat there. We both needed to go boxes. Oh yeah and our ticket. But we just sat there and waited and waited and no WFH. She never came to check on us and see if we liked our food, or give us drinks or salsa. I could understand if she was really busy and overwhelmed but I dont think that was the case at all. And also a place this size ought to havewas probably right, but I tipped her about 11% which was 10% too much. She literally ruined a good dining experience. She literally sucked at her job. She was literally the WFH.I want to wish the owners of Albarrans however you pronounce it the best of luck. I wish you would fire WFH whos name btw begins with J and ends with n. This is official frekview God Bless. Go Tech please get to Omaha. Gonna rate the food a 3 and service a 0.
