Always, always, always my go-to for food, unless I’m specifically craving something else. The food is always fantastic along with the price, I’ve never had issues with with strange things showing up, and the family is always happy to see me. During finals and term paper season, I swear they’re the only reason I survive. Never had a bad experience and I’ve been a regular for four years.
My go to place for the best yellow curry soup- the Bangkok special- I get it almost every time because it is so dang good!!! Fabulous flavors, love the shrimp on the side! The hot and sour soup is also amazing! I get it every time my throat starts to hurt and it helps me feel better every time! Also the fried little wonton strips and sauces are an added bonus! Love this little gem!
Really good service and food; the price was right on for what we ordered. Very tasty and filling. Tried different meals and egg rolls, soups with the meal. Food came out quickly to my surprise. I saw the reviews from other people and I agree with them about the Bangkok Thai.
By far this is my favorite Thai place in Lubbock. I love the thai style beef that’s served with egg drop soup – I think it’s number 25. It’s always packed for lunch, but they have a drive through window so you can order ahead of of time and pick up if you’re in a rush. However, even with how busy they can get they are always super quick and friendly. goodnomadventures.com
Okay I may have lied when I said Thai pepper is the best Thai in town. This hidden gym was a favoring of mine back in high school and I forget about it all the time but make an effort to go when I remember it!
Do not come here!. In the pad thai description, it states it comes with shrimp, which means only 1 piece.they also refuse to answer the phone when you try and order something.ridiculous
It’s….ooookay.. So, I moved from San Antonio like a month ago here to Lubbock. This is the first Thai place I went to (was going to try Thai Pepper but it was closed on Saturdays). Walk in and you order at the counter…um, ok. They give us a number and you serve your own drinks. Ok fine, so long as the food’s decent. That’s all it is. I ordered the Pad See Eew and my boyfriend had the Japanese beef dish (I forgot the name) and we got some egg rolls. Well, those plain stunk. Had hardly any flavor and were super greasy on the inside (how can you mess up an egg roll!?) My food was decent but lacking serious flavor, so was his. The portions were good, especially for the price so that’s why we admitted we’d be willing to try it again and try something else next time. I’m thinking green curry and he wants to try the pad thai.I realize this is Lubbock and I won’t be finding awesome Thai places on every major street like I did back in a city full of 2 million people..but there’s like three Asian food markets down the street of this restaurant and I felt like they could do a BIT better. I don’t care about the atmosphere, I’d eat awesome Thai from a food truck outside a bar on a bad side of town and still be happy if it was good. This place…was tolerable but not impressive. That’s my honest review. That being said, I’m willing to try it all out again.
