Excellent Brunch!. After trying many different locations our brunch family have made Cafe J our home. Reasonably priced food and mimosas along with great customer service make Cafe J a great place for brunch. Joy T does not reflect most of the people who take time out their of Sunday to laugh, eat, have fun, and do what we always try to do Pinky. Take over the world!!!

Joy Tenpenny’s Review is False. My fianc, his mother and I were waiting to be seated and overheard the whole ordeal JOY TENPENNY is describing. There are some major inconsistencies and I want to take the time to address what really happened.Firstly, your reservation was at 10:30 AM, then changed to 11:00 AM. You were lucky to even have it because a cancellation had been made. The manager politely made a phone call to your party around 11:15 and left a message, wondering if your party was going to show up. You (or some other woman from your party) walk in some time after this, then begin to argue very offensively about the nature of the voicemail that the manager left. The manager listened to the complaint and after POLITELY explaining the issue, you (or this lady from your party) decided to give the table up out of aggravation. Then you (or this lady from your party) decide to make a phone call using expletives loud enough for everyone in the waiting area to hear. F-words and all.And that, ladies and gentleman, is when the manager said your party is not welcome and need to leave the premises.Y’all were acting like spoiled teenagers and got yourself kicked out. Hopefully one day you will look back and learn from this situation. You have obviously never worked in the service industry, and you need to learn how to treat people like human beings rather than your slaves!

Expensive for the very few choices there are. Not great for smaller kids. Foods tastes good but if you have a picky palette you might go elsewhere.

Wife and son ate here tonight. They loved the food and the service. We eat here each time we find ourselves in Lubbock.

First time brunch. Arrived last Sunday at 11:00.-very popular spot (suggest reservations). Atmosphere is elevated but not stuffy. No dress code. Service was excellent and prices only slightly higher than some of my hangouts. Put them to the test by ordering french toast (one of the specials) as Kayte (my spouse) makes the very best. It was quite good. Kayte had an omelet which was OK.A pleasant change of pace. I plan to return.

Varied Menu. I headed out there for lunch and ordered French Onion Soup along with their gourmet burger. The overall atmosphere is somewhat intimate (due to the lighting) yet it won’t make a lone diner such as myself feel awkward. I was excited to see the soup. It had a good layer of cheese and four croutons. For my taste, the broth needed some more flavor. Salt helped out but it was missing a little something. It was still a delightful start to the meal. The burger had so many layers of flavor. The patty actually had the taste of beef cut across even after being paired with cajun aioli, caramelized onions, Gouda, bacon, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes. I liked the different bun – jalapeo. It was a very enjoyable burger. The fries tasted good but something tells me they weren’t made in-house. I may be wrong. It’ll be very likely I return to check out their dinner menu.
