Best Cupcakes EVER!!!. The cupcakes from here are definitely the best cupcakes I’ve ever had!!! They’re surely not from a box because nothing from a box can taste this good! The buttercream and cream cheese frosting they make her is to die for! I have tried many flavors from here and not one of them is bad!! I especially love how they add seasonal flavors during certain months, gives you more of a reason to go get a cupcake 🙂 And for all those reviewers who are praising the competitor, yall can suck it! The competitor’s cupcakes are trash compared to these! I would know because I’ve had both! CAKE FTW!!!!
I’ve tried really hard to like Cake, but the cupcakes are always dry, the flavor is usually bland. They do look great though. I wished I liked them more because the location is convenient.
BEST EVAR.. Forget the sprinkles hype, CAKE is where it’s at. as for the negative reviews on here…well haters gonna hate. this place has the most innovative cupcake flavors known to mankind. the rootbeer float has a cherry on top and a straw. snickerdoodle and orange blossom are two of my favorites. i think cupcakes are overrated, but cake restores my faith in cupcakery. LOVE IT.
Meh. I drove out 20 minutes to get cupcakes from here. I had high hopes, but they were immediately crushed. Not only were the cupcakes pricey, but it tasted powdery and like something I would make from a box. The frosting tasted generic to me also. I guess I had high hopes after visiting Peace o’Cake. I’d recommend Peace over this place any day.23 May, 2011Best in LBK!. I disagree with the reviewers who claim that Cake By Distinctive Detail is better than Peace o’ Cake. I’ve tried a few at both, and Peace is clearly more flavorful than Cake. The cupcakes at Cake tastes like box quality cupcakes rather than freshly baked ones. And the buttercream frosting on the Red Velvet cupcake at Peace is SO delicious, so much better than regular buttercream. And I love the frosting so much that I appreciate it when they give me one with a lot of frosting. The actual cupcake itself could be a bit more moist but it’s so much better than Cake’s, in my opinion! The Red Velvet is my favorite. I’ve tried many other flavors, but those were mediocre in comparison to Red Velvet. The staff is always so friendly.
Great!. I always take reviews with a grain of salt from boutique places in small cities. I’ve heard about Peace O’ Cake and Cake since moving here with my wife from Dallas. It’s very obvious that the negative reviews here come from employees at Peace O’ Cake. So much, that I had to create an account on here just to point it out and say that Cake is much more superior in quality and taste. Take it from an finally unbiased reviewer. My wife loves the dark chocolate cupcake. I’m getting her a box for Valentine’s Day today!
Box cake mix with homeade icing. When I go buy a cupcake and pay a decent amout for it, I expect both the cake and the icing to be homeade. That is not the case at Cake. The cake is definitely cake mix that they mask with homeade icing. Definitely not worth the money…there are better cupcake stores in town.
Oh buddy. I can’t believe some of the reviews on dryness and coming out of a box. I LOVE THIS PLACE! One of the best parts is seeing what flavors they have each day as they change them out daily. I recommend Snickerdoodle. It’s just like the cookie.
