I had been looking forward to trying this place for quite some time and it did not disappoint. Great food made up for the uncomfortable dining setting. It was in July so I chalked it up to the heat outside making it uncomfortable warm inside. Will try again soon now that it’s not the middle of summer to see how the temperature is inside.
It was good , we will go back when we’re in Lubbock next time! Special was catfish the waitress said my wife got the last plate , I wanted Ribeye Sandwich they were already sold out , Chicken fry was good !

Excellent catfish special today. Fresh rolls can’t be beat. I never have seen so many waitresses in one restaurant. And, every one of them hustling. Wish we had room for the pie. Friendly staff. Service was fast. Food served promptly even eith the large crowd. Great place to stop on road trip
Ok so L noticed I always rate places high but realized its because I take the time to find the best spots and we did it again… So glad to be home in Texas and stopped at a real slice of Texacana here, cfs is right on and the desserts are the best and its right off 27. Service was excellent and some real fine examples of our beautiful Texas women.
Oh wow! Come for the lunch, stay for the dessert. Seriously, the mac’n’cheese, chicken fried steak and fixin’s were delicious. But nothing was better than the desserts. Texas Delight, Strawberry Fudge cheesecake, and Mississippi Mud brownie were devoured at our table. SO GOOD! And our waitress was so sweet. Will definitely go back!
Good home cooked breakfast. Had the Big Hearty breakfast. Very enjoyable home cooked meal. Better than Pancake House. Excellent service. Will definitely be back to try lunch & pie!
