Reopened!. They reopened on frankford close to sonic and it is the same great food and great people. Small seating area but thats okay as the takeout rocks. I go about twice a Mont and they always do a phenomenal job. Love this place. Best takeout in Southwest Lubbock.16 Aug, 2014CLOSED! Sign on door said closed as of August 11th, and to check their website. Website was no help though. Sign was down on front of building.
New to lubbock!. So I’m new to lubbock, & I’m very unimpressed with the different diversity of food they have available for selection. This town really needs some upgrades! This is the first Chinese delivery I ordered since living here for the past 6 months and I was so happy with it! I always review places before trying and I’m glad I went with them! Everything is price ranged affordable, and they have a big selection. I ordered the egg drop soup, lo mein plain, orange chicken, fried chicken wings and pork fried rice, along with cream cheese puffs! Everything was delicious! My order was packaged so nice and neat in very nice tuppawear like containers. They give lots of soy sauce dick sauce and hot mustard along with wontons and forks and spoons. I appreciate that. The people are very friendly and always on time. They only thing I didn’t like about this place was there red sweet and sour sauce, to dip your wontons. Kinda had a funky taste like old. I tried it on two different occasions and wanted to like it but no it’s a no go. But other than that I reccomend it!!
Not!!!! FRESH!!!! The only four souls in restaurant . That should have been a sign to leave!! Dirty restrooms will never come back!!
Best in town. We eat at the China Wok any time we are on the West side of Lubbock, especially for their lunch buffet. We also do take out from them occasionally. We have eaten at every Chinese food restaurant in Lubbock and China Wok is the best. We don’t eat Chinese food anywhere else now.
Ki Whi. Tried this place for the first time today. LOVE that they deliver! The food was excellent and abundant! We got the bourbon chicken (SO GOOD!) an the house special lo mein along with the mixed appetizer plate (I can’t remember the name of it right now). We were very pleased and impressed with the taste and quality of the food. Our chicken was not over-cooked and the appetizers were quite good. The food in general was not as salty as we usually get when we order/eat Chinese food, so that was a big bonus for me. The eggrolls were great. I could actually taste the cabbage and pork instead of just the seasonings. The egg drop soup was full of veggies and so was the fried rice. We were both so impressed with this place. We’ll definitely order again.
Nope. So disappointing. Orange chicken seemed over-cooked and was really hard and crunchy. I couldn’t even stick my fork in it. For their fried rice, they just add soy sauce. No veggies or egg. It was only edible if I ate it with meat. Until we found something in the rice. We don’t know what it was, but we weren’t going to risk anything. The beef was actually good.
I just ordered here and I was pretty disappointed. First, my order was wrong. Unfortunate I had a suspicion that would happen because the guy taking my order didn’t speak much English so I circled everything I wanted on the menu. Second, like a previous reviewer stated, the rice is just covered in soy sauce for the brown color, but nohing else was put in it. Third, I ordered the General Tso chicken and it tasted as it it had been refried and covered in sauce. On a good note, the shrimp in my shrimp with lobster sauce was big, unfortunately the lobster was the immitation meat. As you can see, I will definitely will not be returning there again.
