My daughter and I stopped in for lunch. We both ordered the general tso chicken. The lady at the counter even repeated our order then entered hers wrong. When the food came I told her it was wrong. She took it back and brought the new dish along with a piece of paper with $.27 wrote on it and said I need to pay. I told her no that I was not going to pay for their mistake and making me wait even longer for my food. Then the lady that took our order came over and began arguing with me saying that my daughter ordered sweet & sour chicken. She finally gave up walking away still complaining about it. The new dish they brought did not look right and tasted terrible. So I tried my daughter’s food to compare. Hers tasted nothing like mine. I took my plate to the counter and told them my complaint and the lady at the counter began arguing with me again and then brought the manager and he began arguing with me. I asked for my money back…After a very loud argument he finally refunded a portion of our bill. I told him that what he gave me was not correct that I wished to get all of my money back for having to stand up there and argue with them. He said I ate the egg roll and got the drinks and he wouldn’t refund all. I then said fine he could kiss my ass. He threatened to call the police on me and told me to never come back…like I would after being treated that way… My daughter and I had to find another place to eat after wasting an hour in this place. If anyone eats here….Pray that your food is right is the only advice that I have for you!
Chinese Yum Yum. For the price this is totally amazing. They have a huge menu if you go in or pick the order up over the phone but the drive through has less choices though the sweet and sour chicken and pork are perfect and cheaper than other places. I love all the items the puffs for desert is great just ask for some honey. Like I said they are cheaper than other Chinese places in town and their food is superb so enjoy and make sure you try all the many things!!!
Pricey and generic. Thats all I can say. I expected much more. The portions were small and the sesame chicken was almost tastless. The TEA smelled like SEWER WATER! I took one sip and that was it. I wont come to this place again. I paid 8.98 but it was worth maybe 3.98. I knew I should of heated up a frozen dinner instead…
This place used to be really good but that is no longer the case. The food was not very good at all. We ordered chicken fried rice which was just sad and the Kung pao chicken was a different dish entirely. The shrimp tempura was burned. Also the cornstarch was very obvious in the sauce as it was gritty. We won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
From A Regular Customer. I have eaten at Chinese Kitchen for years, and there’s a reason why. Typical Americanized Chinese food (sweet & sour chicken, beef & broccoli…etc) is very generic here. BUT, the Mongolian Stirfry and the Hibachi (which is technically not Chinese, lol) bar is fantastic. The Mongolian Chicken is sweet, has plenty of sauce, and is always good. The same goes for the Mongolian (I recommend the beef). If you eat at this restaurant, I recommend either of those dishes. Also, the price is extremely reasonable. (7.99 for a Hibachi plate, which is a ton of food, as compared to 15.00 at most of your sitdown steakhouses). I love this place.
BIG LET DOWN!. Have been eating here my entire life and used to love it. Recently the quality of their food has gone down hill. Not to mention the last time I was there the owner yelled at me (6 months pregnant) for requesting that he not put my chow mein on top of my rice! Then yelled at the poor girl that took my order! How embarrassing for us all! Portions have gotten smaller and prices have gone up and they obviously don’t care about customer service! Go to the chinese place on 50t and almost Indiana before you get to United it’s much better and they are friendly and will make your food however you request it!
Worst Asian food I’ve ever had. Ordered the lo mein and noodles were gross. And everything was super greasy. Would not feed this food to my dog. Liens super buffet (which is super terrible) was better than this place. Also could not tell a difference in the types of meat all looked and tasted the same. I might throw up.
