FRENCH TOAST. They have ruined french toast for me. No one else toast can measure up! I can never return to the dinky triangle toast from before, I don’t know what bread they use but this is wonderful. I don’t even order lunch or dinner here anymore! I absolutely love their breakfast. Hearty with homemade taste.
Fast service great chicken fried steak would recommend anyone to go there at anytime on anyday. The service there is superb. The atmosphere feels like being at home.
Horrible Service. My wife and I have been here twice. The first time it went well and the food was OK. The second time, we went for breakfast. They were busy but it seemed service was going fairly well. We ordered and sat and watched other tables being seated after us and we just sat and waited for our food. The tables that were seated after us began getting their food and we were still just sitting there. I stopped our waitress and asked her if she would check on our order and she said it would be out soon. After another 13 minutes I asked our waitress if she would ask the manager to come to our table. After yet another lengthy wait and no manager I saw what appeared to be a manager and motioned for her to come over. At the same time another waitress brought a bunch of food that did not even resemble what we ordered. Our original waitress showed up at our table with the manager and we said that the food they were trying to serve us wan not ours. The manager asked what we had ordered and said she would check on what was going on. They then began bringing out parts of our order so we again had to wait for a complete breakfast. We found out that the waitress had forgotten to turn in our order originally. Thank god we refused the stuff they tried to give us or someone else would have had to wait to get their order, The manager said she was buying our breakfast but I honestly would have been happy to pay for it if I had just had it served in a reasonable amount of time.
Country Style Breakfast. I am an admitted old country style breakfast slut, so I am not the most discriminating critic when it comes to hot breakfast. They have good bacon and have cooked my eggs right every time I’ve been there. The apple french toast special I’ve tried was very good. Prices are reasonable.
Good….Luck. The problem is they likely have the best homestyle food around, but the service and kitchen are so terrible you would never know. I have consistently been there when the waitress forgets a side, usually its the cheese hashbrowns or spiced apples…If you really want to try it out I would say go after 830pm or before 7am. I have seen ticket times consistently being 35min to over an hour. Poor..poor..poor..poor management

CB has become the new US travel icon…sort of like the old Stuckey’s for those of you old enough too remember that chain. They serve solid comfort food, with no frills. I haven’t been in one yet across the US that hasn’t had same menu as all others, and everything tastes EXACTLY the same at each location (I don’t know if that’s good or bad!).
