I ordered their Huevos Rancheros and they were pretty amazing. I like the simple ingredients: eggs, ranchera salsa, refried beans, potatoes, bacon, and flour tortillas. Make all those things taste good and you’ve got a winner. I liked that they included a few slices of jalapeos in the salsa. The extra kick complemented the whole meal. The place isn’t too much to look at but it’s kept clean and the service was great!
This place has the best Mexican food ever!!! The ladies in the kitchen know what they are doing! I absolutely love the chips and salsa. I wish you the best!

I’ve frequented this establishment since it first opened and only family was working there. Absolutely love the food. Today on the other hand, I had the older waitress wait on us…she was rude, would not refill tea, chips or salsa and stood and stared. I was Extremely unhappy with her service and will not be going back because of her for a long while.
Hours of service. We tried to return recently one evening and discovered (along with other families, I might add), that they are only open on Friday and Saturdays in the evenings. They apparently close at 3 pm on other days. We saw 2 other families go up and find it closed and leave besides us.05 Aug, 2012Homemade and very good!. Our family tried El Paisano this week and we were delighted. The dining room is very clean and the dishes we had were all obviously home made. The carne asada tacos that came on the Mexican plate were excellent! The colorado enchiladas with onion have some heat, which is unusual for Lubbock, and something we have been looking for since moving from NM. The sides were very good, too. I can’t wait to go back and taste more. I loved that everything tastes freshly made. The corn tortillas were also wonderful.
This is my favorite restaurant in town. I eat ceviche there once or twice a week. They rock!!
My New Mexican favorite! Wasn’t wild about the lengua last week but was impressed enough to come back today. Salsa has a nice kick without being insanely hot. Paisano plate has 2 ground beef enchiladas with red chile sauce and 1 beef brisket soft taco. Loved this taco!! It was so tender and flavorful. Dishes come with rice and beans. Don’t care for rice so always get double beans. Yummy! And inexpensive too!! And here is my favorite part … They serve breakfast all day!! Bueno!!!
