One of the best in town!. I work downtown and go to Emma’s at least once a week. I have always received prompt, friendly service, and the food has always been fantastic! Kudoz!
My wife and I are always looking for AUTHENTIC Mexican food . As soon as we tasted the rice and beans we knew this place was for real!! You have to try the rellenos! Emma herself was cooking and the service is excellent. Emma’s is also a stop on the First Friday Art Trail here in Lubbock.

Great Food From Great People!. Let me start by saying that Emma’s Mexican Restaurant is very good. I have eaten in a lot of Mexican restaurants in my time. The queso…. SO GOOD! And the Chile Relleno’s are also…SO GOOD!I ordered the beef chile relleno topped with queso, beans and rice. I also had a side of enchiladas. The contents were very tasty with plenty of beef and flavorful rice and beans. They also give you tasty chips and a cup of their salsa before the meal. My two friends had the carne guisada burrito’s with beans and rice inside and topped with queso. Emma’s Mexican Restaurant is a small restaurant in downtown Lubbock between Broadway & Main St. on Ave J. It’s conveniently located close to hotels like La Quinta & Holiday Inn just to name a few. They are also close to Texas Tech. I always stay at the Holiday Inn. Oh by the way the breakfast burrito’s are awesome and they deliver. Inside the restaurant are a handful of tables next to a large window which offers a good people watching view of the street outside. The service is excellent. I wish we had an Emma’s Mexican Restaurant in Austin TX. They would be the hot spot in Austin.Emma’s Mexican Restaurant is a very clean, stylish restaurant. Food gets delivered quickly and the staff are all super nice. I’ll definitely come back again, and bring more friends with me from Austin. I give it 5 stars. I suggest that for anyone that visits Lubbock’s downtown should eat at Emma’s Mexican Restaurant. You will not regret it.
