Like stepping back in time. Love going to Holly Hop! The staff is always so friendly, and the ice cream is fantastic! It’s made on site, and they always add seasonal flavors. My favorite is the pumpkin that’s brought out around Thanksgiving. When you step in the door, you’re instantly taken back to a 1950s soda shop where you can grab one of a variety of sodas in a bottle or have the staff mix you one the old fashioned way. The jukebox is always playing great oldies, and you’ll often see kids dancing, ice cream cones in hand.
Insulting. Staff/managers are terribly rude and condescending. The food available is low quality and poorly prepped. Do not waste your time here.
Their milkshakes . . .. Bring the boys to the yard. And the girls. Delicious! Adorable atmosphere. Roy Orbison on the jukebox. Haven’t tried any of the sandwiches yet.
Great For Families. I love the Holly Hop Ice Cream Shoppe. Most of their ice cream is homemade by the owners of the shoppe. They put their heart and lots of love into their store. It’s all about the people and their families. Stop by for a visit and get some yummy ice-cream too.
Kitschy decor but great ice cream, lots of flavors, and my favorites: rum raisin, black cherry vanilla and Irish cream.

The best choice for ice cream in Lubbock. I’ve visited Holly Hop a handful of times, and each time I visit, I notice something new about it, or find a new treat that makes the trip great.A very friendly staff gleefully welcomes you, and great after-dinner items make this a place I recommend to friends who are visiting.
