We ate there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The food was great and reasonably priced. Everyone was very friendly and the food came out promptly and there was plenty of it. It’s a nice little restaurant with good ambiance. I’m not crazy about the location but it’s not bad.
We had glass in our lasagna… I bit down on it and broke a piece. I contacted Italian Garden and never heard back. The ziti and lasagna is hit and miss and they could spend a little extra on the vegetables/lettuce used to make salads
I’ve always had a good experience here which hasn’t been the same at the local Olive Garden unfortunately. I usually get here the Chicken Murphy with Pink Sauce! But today we order a couple of new things and they didn’t disappoint. I got the Shrimp Florentine and my husband got the Chicken Milanese. Their tiramisu is to dye for as well! We took some friends over once and my friend said that it was the best she has ever had. It’s also good to know that it byob so you can bring your favorite bottle of wine with you!
I really don’t understand why everyone loves this place so much, you can get better Italian food at Olive Garden, with the added bonus of not being served by frat boys.
First time we visited this restaurant at its old location it was pretty good. This time service was terrible. Food was ok, but the price has increased significantly. Ordered a kids fettuccine alfredo and added shrimp (which was $1.50/shrimp!!) and ordered an adult shrimp scampi. Only difference was the size of the plate, portions were the exact same size. Waitress tried to charge us $14.99 for the kids meal and then acted like it was a tiny mistake. Asked for the ticket and they never brought it. Had to wave out server down to get service (which we weren’t even sure who our actual server was because we had 3 different people coming to our table.) Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
My best friend and I went for lunch. I got the lasagna just to test it out and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! The food is very rich, but you can tell its home made and not some frozen junk stored away and heated up when ordered. The lunch also came with bread and salad, both very good. Loved the house vinaigrette dressing. I highly recommend the lasagna, I wasn’t expecting it to taste so good!
Not sure what the big deal is about this place. The service was way below par, even for a college town like Lubbock, the calamari was frozen out of the box and likely microwaved, rubbery and nasty. The Tortellini with pink sauce…well the tortellini was not even cooked all the way. Tasted like the nasty crap you get out of a grocery store. The Chicken Catchatori had more olive oil than marinara sauce. Better options in Lubbock than this over hyped, over priced frozen dinner warmed up in a microwave.
