Come along to LongHorn. Had a quick lunch here today. Now have a resonable lunch menu which is what I opted for and obviously was the reason the place was packed for lunch – good decision on their part.Choices were pick two items in 3 different price ranges $7, $8 and $9 with different food option variants in each price group.I chose the $9.00 lunch and picked a very filling and satisfying loaded baked potato soup and 1/2 prime rib sandwich.Aus jus and creamy horseradish on the side topped it off for me making it just the way I like.Restaurant is very attractive inside with comfortable seating with nice bar area.
50 minutes for a hamburger to go. Very disappointed.
Great when they first opened, but quality went down hill very fast. When they first opened in Lubbock, the food was amazing and the prices were pretty good. Having returned there a couple of times over the past couple of months, you can see the downhill trend in quality and service. Case in point is their Southwest Shrimp appetizer. The first two times I had it, shortly after they opened, the shrimp were fairly large in size and they completely filled the long, thin plate on which they were served, and the dipping sauce was served in a separate dish. The last two times I ate there, the dipping sauce dish was on the serving dish and the puny shrimp didn’t even fill out the rest of the tray.
Food cold, should have been …. Cold, raw food! slooooow service!
The food has been good everytime we’ve gone there but seems they are short handed due to slow service and hearing the wait staff yelling at each other in the kitchen.
Went for lunch. Total was $45 (ordered off lunch menu) Food was mediocre, but would much rather go back to Texas Roadhouse. Icing on the cake was that total was $45.31 and we paid cash. Waitress brought change in bills but the $.69 was kept by the waitress. Not a huge amount of money, but the assumption was very rude. Big pet peeve of mine.
Enjoyed it. I had the Renegade Sirloin was seasoned correctly and it was cooked perfectly, medium well. The baked potato was prepared well and the salad was crisp and excellent. Maybe I got lucky by reading the reviews on here, but we had no problem and the service was one of the best I have received in Lubbock. With all that said, Texas Roadhouse is maybe still a cut above, however, If you don’t want to wait at the Roadhouse, this is a good alternative for sure at least in my first visit to this one in Lubbock. I used to live in Tallahassee, Fl and the Longhorn down there was the best that place had to offer. .
