Worst of the worse. I haven’t been to Mesquites in a number of years and decided to have lunch there today. Big mistake, HUGE mistake! Only people at 2 tables at noon. This should have been a red flag for me. Ordered the brisket plate. 4 small thin (2mm) pieces of burnt meat. Baked beans–from the can no doubt (tasted just like Bushs baked beans)and onion rings. The onion rings were the only thing that was good. Very disappointed that this place has gone downhill. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Service is slow but food is really cheap, staff was generally nice, not too much to complain about. Got the mesquites frito pie which was huge and pretty tasty. Not the greatest place ever but not horrible either.
They have amazing lunch specials for 3.99 everyday and the drink specials are awesome. Power hour is $1 drafts and $1 wells from 1-5 every friday. Great staff great food!
It’s a bar…. Seriously though, it’s a student bar that most ttu student love to go and drink at. So if you are expecting a five star dining place..try and think more realistically.
Worst Bar on Broadway!!. The staff is rude and arrogant and if you try going in when its slow (which is pretty much everyday from open to about 1:30am) dont expect to be treated politely or be served in a timely manner. The servers are incredibly slow and not very bright either. Also it is widely known as a minor bar.. there are always many people under the age of 21 in there drinking because the door guys rarely check or care if someone has a fake or no id at all. A friend of mine handed the door guy his real ID which said he was 19 years old and he banded him and let him in to drink. So i guess if you’re a minor and want an easy place to get in and drink go to Mesquites!
Mesquite’s is the beat place on Broadway to go for great drink specials and good food! Fit for students, families, and big parties!! The staff and management know how to run a damn good bar! Monday & Wednesday from 7-11 there are $1 light draft beers and Friday it’s power hour from 1-5 with $.50 singles and $1.00 doubles!! Great place to stop by after class and during the shoulder-to-shoulder party every Friday & Saturday night!!
