Hidden gem. I was pretty surprised since I didn’t expect much from this restaurant. So authentic, very fresh, and definitely homemade from scratch.I tried four different tacos, lengua, asada, balbacoa, and carne guisada. Amazing flavors, so fresh, and only $1.50 each. Very similar tastes with the ones I’ve had in Mexico. Very best in Lubbock for sure! They have also four different homemade salsa and all thumbs up! I also had caldo de res (Mexican beef soup) and chicken enchiladas. So fresh and yummy.

This is a new restaurant across another Mexican place. I ordered their Huevos Rancheros and really enjoyed them. The eggs were cooked well (over easy) and the salsa had a distinct taste – enjoyable. Their tortillas tasted homemade and that’s always a plus. The dining area is a bit small but perfect for those who don’t like being in large crowds. Their menu isn’t too varied but enough for those looking for some comfort food, Mexican style.

Delicious. I can’t say too much for the salsa because I have had a lot better. They do have a lot of salsa to chose from. I can tell you that you get what you pay for. The burritos are very large and on fresh tortillas, you can’t ask for more. The meat is very fresh and delicious, everything seems like it is really fresh. I could handle some more heat when it comes to the salsa, but the normal one has a nice flavor. The roasted one is not too bad, but the tomato can have a little bit of an overwhelming flavor. The tomatillo (sp?) is not too bad, but you do have to have a liking for it. I had the Barbocoa and the Pollo Asado…. I will be going to back to try their enchiladas and Huevos Rancheros.
