Awesome!!! Blows the doors off the other sports bars in the city. The best sliders I have ever had. (BBQ burger)

Decent bar and atmosphere, but the food is hit and miss.. I went there with my fiance and her friend. Our server, Jillian, was friendly and efficient. Loved the building and the layout, and the beer was probably the coldest in town. It is a very enjoyable place to have a beer with friends. However, my one knock on that is seating is seat yourself, and between waiting at the bar or on one of the couches in the lounge area, it can be difficult to find and beat others to a table. For starters, we had chips, salsa, and queso. The queso was decent, but not terribly flavorful and pretty runny. The chips and salsa were acceptable. My fiance had a california wrap. The tortilla was crunchy and very dry, as was the chicken, unfortunately. The wrap had no seasoning and no flavor. The chips with it were fine, but the wrap itself disappointed.I had the house special calzone. It was anything but special, and was extremely overpriced (over $16 when tax included). The crust reminded me of a stadium pretzel with the salt removed and brushed with a coating of oil. It wasn’t as large as the price would suggest, and it wasn’t filled with many high value items, especially meat. The marinara dipping sauce was cold and uninspiring. There are many places in Lubbock to get a much better calzone for much less. This one was the most expensive I had here, and it was also the worst. Our friend had a hamburger, and the burger and fries looked very tasty, and she said it was a very good burger and the fries were also good. She was the only one of the three of us that would go back.

No Doubt! Best in Lubbock. Flat out, can’t beat Nick’s. Nick himself is there most every night making sure the place is run 1st class. Best pizza in town. Don’t know the ingredients of the crust and the toppings are plentiful. Also, when it comes time to vote the best bartender in town, Diana will receive 10000 votes from me alone! Never EVER lets me get to my last sip and she has another cold one in front of me. Actually all the bar staff is awesome, but got to put Diana at the TOP! Won’t go anywhere else for an after work beer!

Great service!. I just had to share my feedback about this place. Nick’s is definitely one of the best sports bars in Lubbock! I worked with Dallas to plan a birthday event for my husband and it was a phenomenal experience. He worked with me to provide the best/most logical deals and made sure we had the best time there. We were very keen on watching the preseason Cowboys vs. Texans game. On the day of the event, he went out of his way to call me to let me know that they won’t be able to show the game. He also told me that he understood if our large party (of 15) won’t be able to come in because the game wasn’t showing. I consider this great customer service as it was obvious that by letting me know of this information, there’s a chance that he would lose this large party but he ensured that as a customer, we were happy. We still ended up going to Nick’s and had a great time. The staff was very prompt and attentive as well. I am really glad we have this little gem in Lubbock for us to enjoy our football season

Serious Calzone. Sports bars have a well deserved rep for shoveling dreck onto a table and calling it food. Nick’s is a most pronounced exception to the rule. The food here is truly top-notch. Of the items I’ve sampled, the calzone stands out as the supreme-deluxe. To begin with, it is massive. I’ve got a very healthy appetite, but simply couldn’t polish this baby off in one sitting. Not for lack of trying, though. The crust is light and crispy, and the fillings are perfectly proportioned. With apologies to One Guy’s, this is easily the best calzone in Lubbock. It’s the best I’ve had anywhere. Give it a try; you’ll be glad you did.

While in Lubbock, I went to Nick’s on a Sunday for beer and football. They did not disappoint. The service was quick and attentive. The beer was ice cold (a pet peave of mine) which was nice on a hot day. Plenty of televisions along with NFL Sunday Ticket made it perfect for football. I ordered a burger and fries as well. The burger was seasoned good as were the fries. I recommend Nick’s as a good place to get a burger and a beer and catch a game.
