Pizza and calzones are pretty good. Do not order anything else! Chef boyardee is probably better.
Perfect for a quick lunch!. This place knows how to do lunch, cheap, fast, and always great and fresh! They handle the lunch rush very well at either location. Definitely one of my faves!
I love the pizza! I’ve also had a past dish here that was very good awhile back. Very glad I live nearby.
Best pizza in town, ever. …. Best pizza in town, ever. Great chef’s specials. Fantastic Pasta with Vodka Sauce. Lubbock’s true Italian joint!
Avoid on Friday nights. My wife and I have been coming in almost every Friday for the past few years and normally have no problems. But for the past month or so, we’ve been waiting for on average 45 minutes for our traditional calzones! We were both servers at Gardski’s in college so we’re more understanding than most when things are running behind. But as much as the poor girls try to apologise week after week, enough is enough. The best we can tell, this older gentleman working (read: arguing) with Jerry is doing more harm than good. Guess we’ll try our luck on Saturday for date night.
Ouch, Tomato Sauce From A CAn. Nothing scratch about the tomato sauce or pasta here, but menu price would seem to set that expectation. Very disappointed in the food quality (Manicoti, Chicken Parmesan and Spaghetti), and service was very poor. Save about 50% and enjoy the food at Olive Garden. This One Italian Guy should have stayed home.
Keep it Simple. I like this place. The pizzas are good. The last one we tried was a pizza with baked ziti on it. Try ordering it with a little extra sauce! The sauce works on pizzas, but doesn’t have enough flavor for the pastas. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu, and while it’s not oh-my-God great, it somehow just does the trick. Its a simple little place. No bells and whistles, just nice food. We’ve never gotten good service there, but we still go often. Mostly to people watch the owner as he visits tables! He’s got this thick Italian accent that you can’t tell is real or really cool. He’s great to watch!
