Nice breakfast. Overton Breakfast Special. Very good, the potato casserole was extremely good, coffee hot, eggs cooked perfect. Staff is nice and attentive. For a hotel restaurant the prices were ok, nothing outrageous. Nice area, new apartments and condos in the area, easy to walk around. All in all, nice place good food.

Stayed at this hotel this weekend and went downstairs for breakfast. Waitress recommended the breakfast buffet. The buffet included an only station. Overall I liked what I ate, especially the bacon smoked tomato grits. At $12.95, I thought it was priced about right for the quality of this buffet. Cannot recommend. Entire experience at the Overton, including the dining was a huge disappointment. Much better choices for lots less $ in Lubbock. The only bright spot of our stay was the waitress in the bar. Poor girl, the only one that was friendly and working hard.
Never Again. Had dinner on Saturday night. The place was dead. Learned why quickly. The food is way over priced for the quality of food. My fiance and I both had steak. For the price i expected it to melt in my mouth. It was hard to cut and even harder to chew. Save your money! I felt ripped off.
Bone in Ribeye & New York Strip!!. I had the Ribeye and my wife had the New York Strip both were Awesome!!! Best steak I have had in a long time did not expect this in a hotel! 5 star steak house quality!! My wife’s friend had the 8oz tenderloin and she raved about it as well!
It felt like I had my own secret breakfast place!. Usually Sunday lunches are packed with the after church crowd but I felt like I had the whole place to myself – which was fine by me! There were a few other people in the dining room but I felt lucky to have first dibs on the Prime Rib and the crab stuffed fish. Delicious! My wife didn’t go for the brunch and only had the breakfast buffet, which I tried too. The breakfast line is separate from the brunch line for those without a bigger appetite. Its a typical 3 to 4 star hotel breakfast bar – with a make your own waffle station, an omelette chef where you choose your ingredients, and thick cut smoked bacon. The Brunch, however, was outstanding. I tore up that Prime Rib. It was a full roast that the chef slices per order and because there wasn’t anyone there to judge – I asked for some thick cuts. And then I had me some seconds. And thirds. The chef didn’t mind. He appreciates people that enjoy his food. I worked through that crab stuffed fish too – real crab – the fat, claw lump kind and not that imitation kind.
