Nostalgia can be bliss because I remember the BBQ better than this experience. I ordered 2 small brisket sandwiches & 8 ribs. The bill was $32. Wow! But I don’t mind paying that if the BBQ is great… Sadly it wasn’t. The sandwiches were fine and exactly how I remember them when I would buy them at the strip. The ribs were a huge disappointment. They were hard… Serious, they were hard like beef jerky. They had no flavor. They were pretty much inedible. I picked at 2 of them & threw the rest away in the trash. The next time I want to spend $32 on BBQ, I’ll go to The Shack (2309 N Frankford). I’ll end my review with this… If your are a college guy that going drinking and want some fast BBQ or a blue collar worker that needs to fill up the truck with fuel and has 5 minute to eat lunch, then this place is for you. If you want fall off the bone ribs that have big, bold BBQ flavors, then stay away from Pinkies.
