The dinner itself is the best you can find in Lubbock. You have a choice of two for each serving. We have been many times and have never been disappointed. The service is by students and they are fun to talk to when they come to your table. We have never had bad service. If you want a fun experience with the best view in Lubbock it is the place.
Went for the Thai lunch buffet. The soup and salad were good but the pad thai was TERRIBLE (stay with Thai Thai or Thai Pepper). There wasn’t much else I recall being good. I’ll give it one more shot. We went the week after renovations although I’m not sure WHAT was renovated. It smelled musty and reminded me of 80s decor. Disappointed.

But, food was great this time.Service is another story. I simply cannot understand how college kids, who are getting a grade of some type, can be so nice, smiley and yet incompetent. Are these the few who cannot cut it in commercial restaurants working at the Tech restaurant? Watch out RHIM program if this is what you teach.Yes specifics would be nice to read but where would I start? We were overwhelmed, as were all the tables around us, with unacceptable service. The list would be too long to detail – remember this is the END of the semester when they should be at their best. Bad service from the students began at the hostess stand all the way until after the bill was finally paid. They were all nice an smiley but utterly incompentent.
I’ve only been during Texas Tech Dinner Series, but the location is fun and if you go for dinner series you are helping students out!!!! I recommend checking out the dinner series menus for the semester… I’ve also been for Valentine’s Day for a dinner series and the decorations and service and menu were phenomenal!!!!
For a special dining experience. I took my husband for his birthday and the experience exceeded my expectations. Well worth the price as you get what you pay for. The service is excellent, and the food is delicious. If attending a theme dinner, bring your appetite- from appetizer to dessert is a lot of food. Our theme dinner was inspired by the best chefs in the country, and was unforgettable. The only thing I didn’t like were the duck chimichangas, but that’s a personal aversion to gamy meat. The black and tan sundae (name?) was one of the best desserts I’ve tasted in my entire life. Best overall restaurant in Lubbock!
Everything is amazing. Go for lunch for the three course meal for $10.50. Menu changes everyday but it is posted online so you can check before you go but it doesn’t matter anyway since everything is good.
I attended a function here where the menu was arranged and served by Texas Tech students in the restaurant managenent programs – sort of a learning lab for the students but it was a fun way to have a business dinner and it was a good meal.
