This place went down hill. Went last night and had a burnt piece of the driest cheesecake I ever had. I would have been better off getting a slice through the fazolis drive through. The place was also full of annoying people. Will not be back.
I love this place for it’s unique take on dessert. They serve what amounts to a deconstructed pie in mouse form. I love it because it’s not too sweet for my taste, rich and thick, but balanced. You can pick any mouse flavor they have to go with any crust of your choice. If you’re with a group and not sure what to get, the pie flight is the best way to sample different flavors and share. The whipped cream adds a nice topping as well. And the atmosphere can’t be beat with lots of comfortable chairs to sit in. Semi-Regular. On the advice of a friend, my wife and I strolled into Pie Bar one Saturday night. And now? Hooked. Feel like sitting near the fireplace? Done. On wooden benches? Stools? DONE! We always split a piece of cheesecake and enjoy a hot tea or coffee. The coffee is great! Staff has always been friendly, perhaps because we are. :)We have tried several of the cheesecakes, and find ourselves drawn to the original, plain offering. Rich (hence the split) and not overly sweet! We never feel poorly after our time here, as I believe they use the freshest, most basic and yummy ingredients. Cheesecake, and two hot or cold teas (you may have refills) for $8 and change. Great date night for us in a relaxing and fun atmosphere! We even ordered a whole cheesecake for family in for town to rave reviews. Then we changed our mind and wanted to pick it up a day early as our plans had changed. No problem! So helpful.We have talked to the owner, who really seems to care about his staff and customers. We will keep going back!
If you’re looking for something unique and different, this is is it! We travel a lot so this was right up our alley! Neat atmosphere and a cool take on pie! Mousse is good but rich! Great for sharing!
I thought I was really going to like this place. Not friendly service and my dessert was too rich and no flavor.!
Wonder food. Great staff. Pleasant Atmosphere. If you’re disappointed in this place, you’re a spoiled brat. The desserts and selections are excellent. The coffee is outstanding. So it’s not a giant, oversized piece of pie that has more calories than a full day’s allowance, but it probably would satisfy the rest of the world. I take family, visitors and even business meetings to this eclectic gem of a restaurant.
Not my piece of pie…. Overpriced and under portioned. A few bites for two at well over $12? Not for me.
