Used to be our favorite place in town. Last time it was not good at all. This time we started ordering. Everyone wants something different. No tomatoes. Extra onions, etc. we were told you can no longer customize orders. Burgers come how they are made and you can take off what you don’t want. When I tried to explain to the obese blond lady why it was important, she told me I would get the burgers like everyone else does. We cancelled all of the adult orders and just got some food for one of the children. She didn’t care. Just sat there in her stool sucking down her milkshake. We will not be back. I had heard really bad things lately. They are all true.

A little loud, but that doesn’t negate the excellent burgers, perfect onion rings, or friendly service. Worth a return visit.Don’t let the reviews complaining about the prices deter you. Meal costs are comparable to similar places that have inferior food.

This place was really interesting, kinda different. It is loud though, but all of the burgers sound super yummy! I really enjoy how they call out your order. It is a little expensive, but it might be worth it for what you get!

This place is not allergen friendly. The staff and managers had no idea what was in their food allergen-wise. They kept pushing a gluten free menu as if that was the same thing. My husbands burger was not cooked correctly- too raw. Of all the burger places to choose from in Lubbock, this is the bottom of the barrel. However- they did have some unique root beer flavors that were delicious. So if you go for root beer only, I would give it a much higher ratings.

Yummy!. I have eaten here twice, it is really great. I love the pickle bar with several types of pickles. Today we choose the fried green tomato burger with bacon! The southern comfort.

Great food and atmosphere!!!. We have had three great experiences coming to Twisted Root! Our favorite parts are the food and the atmosphere. My kids love the fried pickles and burgers, and my favorite meal is the Ranch Hand. Overall, a GREAT burger place!

Hefty burger, hefty bill. Had the Southerner burger with a side of fries, & Elvis shake. Very good burger, crisp bacon, nicely toasted top half of the bun (how about the bottom too? sheezsh). Mediocre soggy fries, good root beer, Elvis shake ingredients not well incorporated (more like a sundae, straw too skinny). Courteous prompt service. The bill was $19.79, seriously? With no waitstaff even to serve you, $20 bucks for burger, fries, & shake? Five Guys and Beef O’Brady’s burger is just as good with much better fries & 1/2 the price…
