Stopped in while traveling from Fort Worth to San Antonio and really happy with everything. The only seating was outside, and it was a cold evening, so we were initially concerned, but the heaters kept us nice and toasty. We started with the Green Chili Cheese Fried Potatoes, which were awesome! I had the Fried Catfish, which was also very good and others at my table chose the Texas Grilled Reuben and the Green Chili Stew. We were very pleased with everything we had, and will plan to stop back the next time we’re traveling through Marble Falls. diningoutdfw.com
Food was awful. Save yourself and eat down the street. We left this place and our food and ate elsewhere. The chicken fried steak breading was so hard you couldn’t even break it with both hands. Everything our party ordered was terrible.10 May, 2015Terrible Food. Avoid this place at all cost. Everything was just awful. The chicken fried steak was so hard it would have made a wonderful doggie chew toy. The Caesar salad was nothing more than a pile of iceburg lettuce, and the gumbo tasted very bad. I think this place is in desperate need of some new cooks.
Diner from Dallas. We’re in the area a lot and always make it a point to stop and eat at the restaurant. We have always enjoyed our food and have found the staff very friendly. We have ordered several different items on the menu, drinks, and desserts, and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend.
Great. Ate here three times while in this area. Very good food, Bloody Mary’S, staff very good.
We had a variety of menu items and were all happy with our food. Burgers were good, fried catfish was yummy and the fried shrimp was good, too. Our waitress was polite and attentive. We left stuffed and happy.
Beware. Food was average but beware…I arrived in the early evening on 08/09/14 and wore my sunglasses as we were seated outside. I took them off as the sun set and put them on the table. Unfortunately I forgot them when we left a little before 10pm. I immediately realized what I had done the next morning and stopped by on our way to breakfast at 10:30am but soon discovered that the waitstaff had failed to turn my glasses in to the front desk. The manager I spoke to was extremely rude and unprofessional, never apologizing, he didn’t offer to talk to the staff in quesiton and he never took my name or number to contact me in case the glasses turned up. Yes, it was my fault for being careless but the management seemed not to care in the least that I lost an expensive pair of glasses while dining at River City Grille. This was my first and last experience at this restaurant.
Rude rude rude! We came to marble falls to stop by and see the boat races and had our small 9lb very well behaved poodle that I was holding while we stood OUTSIDE the restaurant on the back walkway. We had several very nice people come up and ask about her as she was a rescue and one server even offered to get us some drinks. The manager suddenly came over and said no dogs were allowed on the premises despite that fact that we were not even in the restaurant area. We asked why disabled vets couldn’t bring dogs on the deck and were told no pets were permitted on the grounds at all even outside areas. We cancelled out drink order and left, never again will this restaurant get my business and I will make sure to tell everyone in Austin how they treat dog lovers. We do not feel or expect we can bring our dog everywhere but outside areas should not be an issue and from the reviews of this place they don’t care about customers.
