Ehh… Overall the food just lacked seasoning and taste; a true casualty of blandness and lackluster. A shame, because the cuisine styles of this restaurant are some of the best, but they just fail at their execution.
Jumbo Stuffed Shrimp. Live in Louisiana,came during Mari Gras coming back the wk end of May 1. I have never had any that tasted so good and I’ve had my share. This time will be taking some home with me. Also tasted my cousin chicken fried rib eye. This was great also. Tender,tender! Come home to La.!!
Loved this place!!. We were on the way to Houston and found this place on the Internet. Definitely worth it!!! I had the cup of touffe and some fried green tomatoes. Husband had crawfish surprise. Friends had deep fried ribeye and wings. No disappointments. Will definitely stop here again if we pass this way.
Not that great.. Let’s start with the appetizer, we ordered the boudin balls. The centers of the balls were still frozen, pretty unpleasant. The entrees were out very quickly. I had the pasta, my husband had the fish and shrimp platter with Cajun fries. The fries were so greasy, then drizzled with Louisiana hot sauce (hence the Cajun part?!) all together was not worth $40. We won’t be going back, I can defrost the same stuff we are there in my own kitchen :/
Thursday Special. This visit we had the Prime Rib and Fried Green Tomatoes.They were good but not great. We will probably not get these again but they were alright.Service and atmosphere were good.
The Southwest Chicken is amazing!! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxed and homey. The owners & workers make sure you are taken care of!
