The place is loud!! We had visited them a few years ago downtown and enjoyed the second floor music. The sound system and music was poor and nobody cared. The fries were not unforgettable. This is is not a cheap place. I don’t get it. We sat at the bar and the service was very friendly and attentive. The hostess level needs to be brought up a notch( a good looking woman). I hope to return since it is close to home. I hear the burgers are good. Well have to try them.
Love the cocktails and the food is pretty good. Unfortunately, the music was so loud that we all left with a headache after spending the entire night screaming at each other, trying to have some semblance of a conversation. Way to ruin what could have been a great evening!
Amazing!. Beautiful ambiance, wonderful staff 🙂 My husband and I love going there on Saturday nights. Some of the best live music in town. Valentine’s dinner was spectacular! El Divino not only makes some amazing cocktails but serves up some wonderful cuisine that you can’t find anywhere else. I highly recommend everyone to try it out!
Hated it. After they moved from downtown which my husband and fell in love with – the food and the ambiance- this was a total disappointment. Ruined my evening. It has nothing to do with the original. The food was nothing special, the plCe was boring, the live music was more dead than alive and except for the waiter that realized we were disappointed and did what he could to make it feel nice the service was amateur and slow. Too bAd they ruined a good thing. No longer McAllen’s best.
Meal is much larger in Pictures then the actual plate!!!! We got the Micro version of the capote fillet … I think that’s why the waitress kept pushing for us to get appetizers … She knew they have very small portions ….
Great drinks and atmosphere. The drinks and live music are really good here. When we went, it was just for drinks before dinner. The bartenders can help you select a drink or they can make you a custom one. A favorite is a drink with grapefruit juice rimmed with salt. While the bartenders are nice, they will select certain people that they will help. It took awhile before our bartender asked if we wanted more drinks. He did seem to warm up once he saw that we left him a hefty tip as we were leaving.

The capone filet was awsome a was all the food offered on the menu, this is a must come and visit place. It’s alittle pricey but well worth the money great food and service. Come all and enjoy.
