Biggest disappointment. We arrived at 8:30 and received cold, unappetizing food at 11:05. Had to go to the bar twice after waiting literally 20 minutes for a martini (had the stopwatch going). Not a single manager came by to apologize about the wait or to explain what the hold up was. A manager finally came out when we walked out due to terrible service and had the audacity to ask us to pay for a cold meal that we left on the table. Didn’t pay and never going back.
They have bone marrow – natures butter!. Last time I was at this place it was called Espana so this was my first visit to Infusions. Very friendly people here! Hung out at the bar located at the rear of the restaurant. It’s divey in nice way. Sorta has a neighborhood vibe to it. Had a few glasses of wine and then I look at the menu and see that they offer bone marrow here which is one of my most favorite dishes! And in the RGV no less. Although it is becoming more common, is still hard to find. It was very good!! The chef and manager came over to visit with me. Bartender Steve is quite creative with drinks. They are quite proud of this place and should be. Prices were commensurate with wine served and service was excellent. I will be back to try for a dinner sometime.
Infusions is my new favorite restaurant in McAllen, Texas! The youthful but spectacular chef Billy Villarreal is creative, friendly, and he thinks way outside the box. We sat in a beautiful courtyard. My husband enjoyed a pineapple infused ribeye. I had mussels and chorizo in a sauce of tequila, garlic, lemon, butter, and lime. The best mussels that I have ever eaten (and I have eaten LOTS of mussels). We also enjoyed a spectacular cheese tray with artisan cheeses from a small farm near Waco, Texas. Check out the RGV Magazine from November 2014 for an article (King of the Foodies) featuring Billy Villarreal and Infusions. When in NcAllen, check out this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
New hot spot. The drinks were amazing, the food was delicious and they had some pretty attractive ladies working there! I highly recommend.
Excellent food and service. My sister and I had the pleasure of visiting Infusions about 2 weeks ago and had a really great experience. Like all restuarants, the day of the week and the time are crucial in the kind of experience you will be having. Planning on visiting on a Friday or Saturday evening? Chances are it’s going to be crowded. When I visited it was almost empty, so our servers were very attentive and quick to serve us.The food is amazing and you can taste how well planned the menu, and how much time and effort goes into making their dishes.I would recommed the , Kimchi Slaw, Patatas Bravas, and the Shrimp Orzo. Overall, it was a great experience and will be returning.
Great food, but when is too crowded, the service is not the greatest. They are not prepared for a full house
Excellent menu. I had the airline chicken which was incredible. I also had a Pinot Noir by the glass which was better than anticipated. My date ordered the shrimp pasta, which was good but a little light. The ambience embodies the arts district.
