Sarap!. In the mood for Filipino food or need some ingredients or snacks of the Filipino persuasion? Then this is the place to go. Ambiance is casual, staff is friendly and willing to let you sample a dish to get you acquainted to the flavors. The food looks and tastes like home cooking especially if you go during lunch time. Definitely a place I’ll be going to from time to time.
Good Filipino fast food. I just moved my family here from the Philippines and we decided to try Kusina. The food is already cooked and looks like the hot food section at Stripes, but the food was definitely Filipino and delicious. We arrived at 1pm and there were no customers, but by 1:30, the place was packed. The little grocery has quite a selection as well. I recommend.
Good food. Good price. Prepared fresh.
So inexpensive & soo good. Great selection on their mini buffet. However, I haven’t been to any of the other Filipino restaurants so I can’t compare. What I can say is, this is the second most visited restaurant (after Universal Market) when I don’t feel like cooking home.
Good Food. This is the best tasting Filipino food here in the Rio Grande Valley area. The prices are pretty good and the portions are pretty big. Just come early specially on weekends because the place is small and it fills up fast. This is the only place that serves lechon (roast pig) but only on Saturdays. The Pansit is highly recommended.
Kusina restaurant. The food is typical filipino dishes that you normally find in any Filipino household. Loved the dishes available, reasonably priced, and very convenient for me to savor dishes that I would otherwise have difficulty cooking myself. The local delicacies is a plus. And having asian goods available in the store is another plus.
