If you want an over average great 24 hour place, try this, they have like breakfast stuffed tacos for $1.29, their foods delicious. Ive been here like 6 times and have never had complaints. The food is fast, authentic, easy location, & professional. Prices are Reasonable to lower than should be for food quality. Keep this Restaurant in Mcallen and expand to Mission and other cities in the Valley Please (:

Fast and very good. I ordered the beef fajita combo and a loaded baked potato. The window guy didn’t know English. That’s not a bad thing. The aroma at the pickup window was very good, actually a Very good thing. There was enough meat and tortillas for six good size tacos. Meat was tender. Baked potato was overstuffed with beef fajita. Ohhhh the tortillas are homemade, very awesome. Comparing this place to taco palenque is not a good comparison. This place is nicer.

Open 24 Hours. A 24 hour restaurant just opened in the old Exxon station next to Whataburger by the expressway. They have a basic menu with mostly tacos at decent prices. And they also and have breakfast tacos and barbacoa.I wish they would put one of these on the north side of McAllen because Taco Palenque is just too damned overpriced! The two tacos I tried had plenty of meat in them. I had the beef fajita and pork and both were tender and had a good flavor to them but the pork had bits of black grill gunk mixed in. (see picture)I also tried the charro beans. It was almost all beans and no broth which is a good thing since the bowl was small at it was $2. They tasted good and didn’t need any salt or salsa to make them that way.The salsas were tasty but had very little heat to them. The pico de gallo did have bits of serrano pepper in it. The green sauce was the tomatillo type and it didn’t have a strong tart taste, just a hint of it. There was a brown sauce with a bit of a smoked flavor to it. The red sauce had bits of cilantro in it. My favorite one was the orange-colored sauce.I didn’t like the idea of having paper towel dispensers on the wall. They need to have dispensers on each table so you don’t have to load up on napkins before you sit down to eat or so you don’t have to keep running back to the dispenser every time you need one.The prices on the menu are cheaper than what you see at Taco Palenque. There is nowhere near the variety but you have four different kinds of meat for the tacos. They have ponchos/nachos with the liquid-pour-on type of cheese but they’ll put on shredded American if you tell them. You have a choice of yellow or white cheese on the tacos. They also have 2-taco combo plates with charro beans and a drink for $7 or $8 each.I talked to a lady that works there who was on her lunch break. She was eating a small bowl of menudo, $6. She said she used to work at Taco Palenque and said it was much better here. It looked good with lots of meat in it and was cheaper too. I would have ordered it but it wasn’t on the big flat-screen menus. It’s on the smaller wall menu and the one over the cash registers.
