This place has a good decoration and the food is the typical steak style with very good taste, but it is very loud, the tables are very close one from the other. I went there for business meetings and the table next to us was so loud that i barely could here what colleagues at my table were saying.
Mediocre at best. I’m not sure how they’re able to keep people coming in considering the prices and service. Very average food. The steaks are better and better priced at Texas Roadhouse.
Amazingly Bad. My wife and I went there last Saturday night. It was my second time there and so I wanted to show her just how nice a restaurant it really was. Well, I was SERIOUSLY mistaken. First, the waitress took our drink orders and it took about 15 minutes to get them. I was actually getting ready to leave, but I figured, I’ll give them a chance. It only got worse. When we FINALLY got our meal, the waitress asks us, ‘ How was the salad? ‘. I said, ‘ We never got it! ‘ Yes, the entree got there BEFORE the salad! Still gets worse. I ordered the grilled chicken and shrimp. No kidding, the chicken was just thrown on the plate, about as juicy as a piece of sandpaper and just BARELY warm. The shrimp was not EVEN warm. It was already cool!!! My wife’s plate, she ordered the steak ( medium well ). It was VERY RARE! I called the waitress over right away, and I RARELY do this, but this was just grossly bad! She then brought the manager over who halfheartedly offered to fix everything. Well, he did ,by basically putting our plates in a microwave oven and bringing them back to our table. At this point it was getting late, we had already been there for about an hour, so I calmed down to eat my FIXED plate. It was just a tad bit warmer. My wife’s steak was still bleeding!! At this point, its just plain embarrassing. I ask for the manager… AGAIN, and offers to just charge us for just one entree….. Just a very bad experience!! I wrote them an email telling them about our experience. That was A WEEK AGO…. still no response. DON’T GO THERE! I can tell from the other reviews on this site that it happens often!
Second time is NOT a charm!. So this was my second catastrophic outing to SaltGrass Steakhouse. On this occasion we were here for our Holiday Luncheon and we had a party of 15. I ordered off the lunch menu the Chicken Fried Chicken, how was it? I have no idea as I was never brought my order. Stephanie A. was gracious enough to bring our order and never once return for refills, or check if everything was good with our orders. Instead she returns later to collect the plates and start handing out checks. Since I was on my lunch hour and needed to return I did not bother to ask for a new plate to be done. I was surprised when she handed me my bill, I said I would not pay when she asked me why I simply replied, because you never brought my food. Then with attitude she said why did I not say anything? My reply, because you finally just came back to collect our plates and money. Quickly she realized her error and was mortified, asked if I wanted it cooked and I replied no. Manager came, and apologized and offered to set me up to go. Yeah right cold food I will pay a premium for, no way. He then wanted my name for my return visit so they can make amends, I assured him I will never return as my previous visit we left without eating because the steaks were SOUR! They cooked new ones for my wife and me and again sour, that manager and chef tried it and acknowledged it was sour. We paid for our cokes and left with one free carrot cake slice that night. But still hungry. This place has left a negative impression twice and almost food poisoning once, we dare not return again, and you shouldn’t either!
2nd time I’ve been here both times food has been marginal. 1st time ordered 12oz prime rib. Got about 6oz.With a spoon full of mashed potatos. This time medium strip was raw to rare.
