They should change the name to The Salty Place. Ordered our food waited 2 hours to get it. We tried to leave but was told it was on it’s way. When we did get our food the order was wrong and cold. Did they offer anything for it NOTHING AT ALL. Well this is our last time this will happen to us. the Tea was great drank 9 glasses waiting for our food. The food was salty all of our food was super salty. We all had something different my Sons Chicken Fried Steak it was flat like a piece of lunch meat thickness and salty. My wife had grill cheese was nothing special oh did I say salty. I ordered the chicken fajita but was giving the black burnt salty beef. I have had beef jerky that was more tender. It Cost us $56.00 for the above not worth it at all. Take what I say as a SALT of grain funny but I still can’t believe how salty it was…

Best Little Cafe in Oak Ridge North. We just love this little family run restaurant. The food is great and don’t let the name fool you, they serve a lot more than just Tex-Mex. We love that you can get a fantastic breakfast all day any day.. My husband and I are retired and have traveled all over the world. We eat at Compadres several times a week. The food is home cooking. Recommend you try their chicken tenders. I don’t know how they prepare them, but the crust is fantastic. ( I think it is the same batter that they cook their chicken fried steak is because both are fantastic.) Recommend also their charro beans and their queso & chips.

Horrible. Roaches behind picture frames falling down on the table while we ate. The manager is an awful woman. In her view the customer is never right. The only reason we ever decided to come back is a guy who used to work there as a cook and waiter who did an amazing job yet this woman ran him down when we asked if he was still here. There is zero standard of service. Consistently inconsistent food. Dirty and cluttered tables. And again the horrible woman who did an awful job while bad mouthing the owners and other employees ruined Compadre’s for my family and I.

Always good!. My favorites….Tea, grilled chicken sandwich, grilled chicken salad, pancakes, biscuits, chicken fried steak, sweet potato fries, fried green beans, breakfast burritos, & always great–bubba burgers!

A mixed Experience. Restaurant has some good menu items and has some that don’t measure up. The hamber steak with mushroom gravy is consistently overcooked and extemely greasey, Chicken Fried Chicken is a well prepared and very tasty. Steak has varied – one time it is tender, well grilled, and very tasty – the other it was tough and tasteless and loaded with fat. Fried fish is well prepared and tasty – grilled fish was undecooked and was off taste. Consistency is severly lacking and excessive grease is a problem – over-easy eggs and sausage patties are an example,

Fantastic Food & Desserts. My husband & I love to eat here. They have the best hamburgers that I have ever eaten anywhere. I won’t just stop there – their Tex-Mex, Steak Finger baskets and Chicken are great also. Their desserts are homemade and the best around anywhere. Just order anything off their menu and you are in for the best cooking you’ve ever had. Sit back and enjoy!

Great home cooked food. This is a great place to eat if you are hungry and want hot, fresh tasting food. You are welcomed from across the caf as soon as you walk into the restaurant. The service is always friendly with a feeling of a special neighborhood caf hideaway. They serve a variety of foods with home-style desserts all day but I like the idea that I can walk in and order breakfast at any time. I have eaten at other breakfast styled restaurants in The Woodlands and the food would come to me cold, dry or I couldnt get me coffee cup refilled. They fall short to the experiences I have had at Campadres Texas Caf on Hanna Rd……just take a right off Robinson if you are coming from 45.
