Dissapointed on. Ordered Blue cheese crab cakes in an order expecting crab meat in it! Was a mouth full of blue cheese I couldnt swallow! I Like blue chees, but way to rich to eat this as an entre! Asked to replace with crab cakes and mgr agreed! Then mgr decided to charge a little extra due to the expense, which was fine, but failed to let us know until we got the bill! Not good! Food good, but over priced for a $ 27.00 meal!
I am from Houma, La. and we boil crawfish ALL the time and I have never experienced mushie crawfish unless they are frozen and I spent $100.00 on crawfish and the manger said because I left the crawfish in the bag to long. Yea right I can tell you it don’t matter how long you leave it in the bag if it is fresh it will not smash like mash potatos. I can’t believe this manger had the nerve to say because I left it in the bag to long yea right it is because they reboiled frozen crawfish. Nasty people who own this and my email address is [email protected] if someone wants to contact me and I can tell you the truth.
Things have changed. I actually liked this place, but things have changed. I went 2 or 3 times a month. It is close to my house and I like to support locally owned restaurants and try to avoid the chains when possible. The crab cakes, oysters, shrimp, catfish, gumbo etc. is good, real good. Crawfish are great. I went tonight and they raised their prices on everything and reduced the amount of food you get on some entrees. I used to excuse the fact the decor, parking lot, and hush puppies suck, but cant see past it now. The overhead can’t be that high at that location to warrant this. I can see raising prices and that makes sense to me in this economy, but reducing the amount of food at the same time? I can go to a chain restaurant with equivalent food for the same or better value with a normal size parking lot. I hate to say it, but Crabby Daddy has lost it’s niche. I’ll be back, but going elsewhere way more often. Local is great up to a point.
Great place to have lunch or dinner!! Service is great!! Food is amazing since they have a fresh fish market!! It was our second time and had Sally taking care of us again.. She really took care of us and make sure we had a great time!! Love this place!!
Never again. The seafood gumbo was ok but the blackened redfish was probably coy or carp. Don’t bother with this place…I’ve had better seafood at the mall.
They do not deliver!!!
Insulting Louisiana and selling food to people who do not know any better. Have a good time at the bar and the live music but don’t kid yourself this is not how Louisiana Cajun food tastes.
