Good and Bad. Their brisket tacos are AMAZING!!! Best tasting brisket ever! I’ve always ordered them, since they are so phenomenal, but this last time I decided to try cheese enchiladas. BIG mistake. You could tell they had been reheated in the microwave. Maybe more than once. The tortillas were chewy, and the cheese was so dried up that it didn’t even melt, in spite of being hot. I was so disappointed. I think I’ll stick to the brisket tacos. The chips and salsa are great, too.
Where are the homemade flour tortillas?. We shared the mixed fajitas for 2. The fajitas were good, but institutional flour tortillas dissappointed. Charo beans were very good and the garlicky rice was well above average.Another in our party raved about her tamale plate. They did look good, but she didn’t offer me a taste.Chips and salsa were good, as was the service.
Our Favorite Place to Eat. Don’t go if your looking for a Show Boat. It’s just perfect for the family. There are at least 3 or 4 of them withing 18 miles of each other, The Food! Nothing comes close to the taste, They go the extra mile to give you the best in quality, quanity, and family service. The servers there remember you and seem to be a step ahead of your needs. The sauce, to die for. We go through at least 6 cups of it.
We originally were going to Amando’s to try but they’ve apparently shut down. We had seen La Flor a few times and decided to give them a try. We were shocked at how delicious the food was. The salsa had an El Salvadorian flavor similar to Gloria’s. I tend to try standard fare in a new resteraunt to gauge the food quality so went with the #8 lunch combo of a cheese and beef enchilada with rice and beans. The cheese is real, not processesed and the chili con carne is some of the best tasting I’ve ever had. I liked the food so much I decided to try their Flan for desert because a lot of places around here mess them up. The Flan was cooked perfectly with no burned aftertaste and the sauce had a very light tinge of Brandy to it. In short, the food was outstanding.
Good food and outstanding service.
Absolutely excellent! The salsa is made fresh and tastes that way as well. I ordered the chimichanga with the fajita beef. The meat was perfectly seasoned and was cooked to perfection. I live about 2 hours away from this restaurant but I know u will be back soon!
La flor food is not worth the price being charged. The service is poor and ambiance is vey dull at best. Amandos nearby is a much better choice.
