I have visited wok xpress 3 times in the past couple of months. The first time the food was good and I thought this would be my go-to Chinese place. The second time I ordered the same thing as the first, peppered beef and Mongolian beef. This time what I got was a container full of mushrooms with a few small pieces of beef in the peppered beef and a container full of onions with a few small pieces of beef in the Mongolian beef. I figured whoever was cooking just shorted me on beef for some reason. Tonight I ordered again the same thing as I have previously ordered. This time I decided to check while I was still there what I was getting. Once again a container full of mushrooms and a container full of onions. I spoke with the lady working at length and she proceed to tell me that the beef is measured out and that’s how much beef the recipe calls for. I explained to her what I ordered was not peppered mushrooms and some stir fried onions and for that price I expect more beef in both items, but that was like talking to a wall. She suggested that if i did not like it i should order something different next time. I explained to her that what I want to eat is Mongolian beef and peppered beef and that their ratio was not reasonable. I asked for the managers name and she told me she does not know it. Really? You have no idea who the manager is??? I find that hard to believe. At this point I figure there is no reason in contacting anyone since their website does not have any contact information, I guess they are not interested in any sort of feedback. Well there goes my new go-to place, guess I’ll keep looking for a decent Chinese place in the area. Considering how expensive it is ($11 per plate) I expect a decent ratio of meat to vegetable. I will not be going back to wok xpress ever again. I have included a pic, that container is about an inch and a half deep of just mushrooms.
