FOOD is OK, STAFF is HORRIBLE!. TNot a good place to dine in, you will not feel welcomed!he reviews are on point for the most part except for the one from the lady that is saying she works there and advertising the company and stating how great the place is.I personally like ONLY their Chicken Fried Steak. This place has a bad reputation, and it is known for having the southern racist environment. I was told that they use to have pictures of black slaves on the walls until the city made them remove them in the 90s.Me personally, I return to places for the product, not the service if that makes sense. So if I had to pick and choose restaurants by service, there would be a select few, so I tend to not let the customer service bother me, my tips speak loud and clear. Therefore I would say, if you are looking to be welcomed and treated nicely, keep rolling, Kinfolks are here to serve the locals who have old money. Google the term and you will get an idea of what type of place this is!Racism lives, trust me!
Cold food. So we are working in nacogdoches and everyone recommended this place. For the first couple of visits it was ok but now the food is always cold and raw. I told our waitress about it and she was sweet and appigized the old lady that is always there she was rude and seemed pissed off that we said something and then when we where leaving she couldn’t even say bye. Rude
Breakfast at Kinfolks. The coffee tasted burnt, the eggs didn’t taste fresh and had a different taste than most eggs, the biscuits were hard, the bacon wasn’t fresh and therefore we won’t go back there. We eat breakfast out alot. The only breakfast places in Nacogdoches Tx is here or Ihop…Really!!! Ihop here is bad also. We are from Tyler, Tx where all the GOOD restaurants are. We travel alot so we know good food. Crackerbarrel has the best breakfast, of course. This town needs a real breakfast place!
WORSE SERVICE EVER !!!!. Well racism is alive and well in Nacogdoches TX today hubby took me out to eat and I (not knowing) chose this restaurant on the loop called Kinfolk now I should have known not to stay after we walked in and all I saw was a sea of white faces but since I didn’t grow up seeing color, anyway we sat down and ordered food which in itself was a process, then the food took a long time to come and I watched others around us who by the way came in after us got their food before we got ours, when ours finally came my hubby’s hamburger was dropped on the floor, they did take it back and bought him another P.D.Q kinda to quick I thought and I had ordered grits and asked for butter, the lil basket with whipped spread and jelly was thrown on the table and the check was bought to the table right as we started eating needless to say we are never going back to this restaurant where they look at you and treat you like you are in the 50’s…..the restaurant is out on the 59 loop close to the Best Western
AMAZING(:. This restraunt has very good service not only have i worked there i have enjoyed thier delicious food! Just about everyone from here or any one who stops through will tell you how delicous the food is and how friendly their staff is! Being friendly is a must there. Tuesday nights are 2 hamburgers for $8.24wed. 2 chicken fried steak dinners for $13.49thurs. 2 hamburger steak dinners for $13.49Friday and Saturday nights All you Can eat Catfish with 2 sides and a choice of bread for $10.99 (:I eat here all the time and and highly recomend this to anyone who is passing through or here!!!!
We were looking for something different for breakfast besides Ihop. We ate breakfast at Kinfolks today. Service was horrible and food was horrible. Will never go back.
Not bad. Had the chicken fried steak, fries and tx toast. Good size portions.
