Sammie J’s was great and the food was great as well. Everyone was very friendly and I would recommend this place to everyone. It is great to hear some good 80’s and 90’s songs and the disco ball was awesome to see as well.

As always, Sammie makes the ultimate double cheeseburger perfectly, the JJ with onions and mushrooms.06 Sep, 2013The daily specials are great, and are usually a large entree, 2 sides, and tea for 6.95. The staff are always friendly. Yes, it’s dated, and dark. The burgers are out of this world. Staff is always very friendly. It’s a ole in the wall/dive, but I love it.

Review of restaurants in Houston. Obviously the person that wrote the comment of saying untrue information, had a bad day. They do have lunch specials and are available all day long. They do have drink specials and the drink prices are comparable to the places in the area and basically all over Houston.

Its dark, not welcoming, and had kids sitting at the bar sleeping.Well drinks are $5 and its located in the hood. The owner was nice, but thats as far as it goes.Closed on sunday and lacking lunch and drink specials. Seems to be fading out and close to closing. Needs lighting, a good make over, and a bathroom remodel (disgusting). I would not bring my wife there nor the kids.Needs new blood, employees look to be drug addicts. No self pride in what they do, just gossip after gossip. Save your money and go to a liquor store for your drinks and the grocery store for food. This place seems like its going through last ditch effort before it shuts down. I would NOT recommend this establishment,
