I went in and saw the great food in their case and became very excited to try the delicious food. Got red velvet bread pudding, cinnamon bread pudding, eclairs, and a truffle. There was nothing that I purchased that I thought was amazing. In fact, didn’t even eat the bread puddings.
1st Time. I’ve been looking for a good bakery in New Braunfels and went to 2tarts this morning. Looked for bread loaves. but I guess they don’t sell them. I ordered a cinnamon roll and asked if they had bread pudding(listed on their website). The nice woman pointed-out their bread puddings, but they all looked-like chocolate brownies with cherries in them? I’m old-fashioned, so they didn’t appeal to me. After returning home, I tasted the cinnamon roll and it seems like they have mastered the art of using cake dough to look similar to a cinnamon roll. The spice I tasted wasn’t just cinnamon. I can’t be sure, but I would guess they added allspice? Sorry, but I prefer a traditional type of bakery.
Won’t be back. My daughter and I came in for a treat after a day of shopping. I was extremely disappointed. Customer Service was not great and the cupcakes tasted as if they were made from a box. My daughter ordered a gluten free cupcake but it must not have been completely gluten free because it made her sick. Overpriced. Overall bad experience. There are many other great bakeries in the area. Gruene Flour Cupcakery and Sweet Dreams bakery are both wonderful.
Horrible products and service my 2 yr old neice wouldn’t even finish her cookie! Do not recommend them at all!
My boyfriend thought I’d be a good idea to take our daughter to a bakery to have a little treat and some hot chocolate, however, it wasn’t such a great experience. He said they ordered a hot chocolate that wasn’t that great. They let her know and she didn’t offer to make another drink or refund the money. He ordered a root beer which was alright. He ordered her a chocolate mint cupcake that she did like but his lemon poundcake was dry and hard. He spent $15 and didn’t have much of a good time as he was dealing with the food not being JP to par and the drinks not being that great. I’ll have to rate one star. We won’t be going back.
Well I really wanted 2Tarts to finally taste… good…. overall. What I mean is the coffee there is great but the baked goods are not… good. The cookies and bars we’ve purchased while our daughter has ballet in the back. The cake we bought for our sons birthday. The apple pie I bought just tonight… not good. I can’t go back… well there’s is the coffee…
Overpriced & overrated… Would not return.
