Sometimes great, mostly good, occasionally very disappointing. Yes, food can be hit and miss. Great fajitas, great burrito, good guacamole, fair salsa, lousy nachos. Margaritas okay but again inconsistent. Ambience good. Ask for a booth. Staff very friendly and helpful. Reason it gets such a good recommendation is that New Braunfels has such surprisingly poor quality Mexican restaurants and so this is a cut above. It’s also clean and staff seem to care. That goes a long way. We come here a lot.
Second visit to New Braunfels and 2nd time at Casa Garcias. Wonderful meal – chili relleno. Great friendly service. Highly recommend this restaurant for standard – but quality – Tex-Mex cuisine!
I finally decided to try this place after passing many times. Tea tastes like water and had to switch it out for Dr Pepper. Chips were warm and salsa very good. Quacamole tinged brown in a couple of spots. Crispy beef taco VERY greasy. Beans bland. Service was great and fast. Food was just ok to me. Place was clean. I won’t go out of my way to eat here but won’t not go if nothing else.
