Really good BBQ sold by the pound. The brisket was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of fat. Sausage was delicious. I like the cole slaw and LOVE the potato salad. Sauce, beans, jalapeos, pickles, onion, and bread are all serve-yourself and complimentary. Overall, a winner.
Great BBQ! I dont know what it is about Coopers BBQ but the meat doesnt have that over smoked, over charred flavor. I get indigestion when eating smoked bbq at other establishments in New Braunfels but for some reason I have never had that issue at Coopers. For that reason, the brisket with burnt ends are my favorite request!
Brisket tasted more like roast. Believe it or not, the smoked chicken at Seaworld tasted better than the smoked chicken here. Finally, the only sauce available was more like au jus, and it was very salty. Rudy’s, just down the street, is considerably better. And better priced.
