Great atmosphere although a little noisy. There was a significant wait on a Saturday night however, since they text you when your table becomes available, you ate free to explore the cluster of neat little shops just behind the restaurant. Huisache has an extensive wine list and the food is good. Try the fried brie appetizer; it is all you hope it will be. parymoppins.net

Yes, the wait was loooooong on a Saturday evening, but we were aware of this before going. While waiting to give the host our name, a woman was complaining that her party had been waiting for their food for over an hour. That was not a good sign. We went to the bar to order a bottle of wine and cheese board. The wine took quite a bit of time to locate. While waiting another man ordered two glasses of wine. The bartender was giving him back his change and explained they were short pennies, so they gave him back less money. I didn’t think this was appropriate practice. We took a table outside and received our cheese board in a timely manner. It was good. The house made crackers were tasty. Three of us shared the bottle of wine and we drank the entire bottle before our table was called. The wine was Kith and Kin Cabernet and quite delicious. It took an hour and eight minutes (we were predicted to wait up to an hour and 15 minutes), so they were good at predicting the wait. Our waitress was no nonsense. She was straight to the point and not very friendly, but that was fine with us. I kind of liked her attitude. The house salads came out very quickly. The Gorgonzola dressing was good, but the salad was nothing exceptional. I split the Parmesan crusted chicken with my mom. It was ok, but nothing great. The artichokes and spinach were few and far between. It did have a good crisp on it. The sides were pasta with a sun dried tomato cream sauce that was very dry. We barely ate any of it because it was lacking flavor. The seasonal vegetables were good. My boyfriend had the mix and match combo with the beef medallions with horseradish Dijon dipping sauce and blackened quail with Jack Daniels dipping sauce. The horseradish Dijon mustard sauce was AMAZNG! The Jack Daniels dipping sauce was too sweet and not needed for the quail. The quail was perfect on its own, very delicious. The beef medallions were also good. The side of new potatoes were crispy and amazing! Very well done! Lastly my dad had the salmon. It was very good as well. Overall I think my mom and I ordered the wrong thing. The other meals were wonderful and we will definitely return if we are in the area again. Finally the staff also seems to need a bit of organizational skills. The wait should not be as long as it was.

Not a good experience. Waited 40 minutes for food once seated. Manager never talked to us and and only took off the appetizer. I asked who the manager was and waiter told me Ken. I like the atmosphere but terrible 1st experience.

It’s been a few years but I’m looking forward to returning and experiencing there menu again. The large outdoor patio should be really enjoyable this time of year.

Always an inviting spot, with a great staff and constant menu changes as well as some stalwarts. Have been twice in last couple of years for family gatherings as a destination spot. and even though next to train track and hard to find a spot to park in front of in back, well worth the effort.

Diner From Katy. We arrived at 6:30 Sunday evening. We had group of 10 and were seated in 10 mins while they prepared our table. Service was relaxed and prompt. We had a variety of dishes and they were served in 30 mins or less. The waitress was happy to split our checks and was very accomodating with any changes to the menu. Very reasonable pricing and good service. Would eat here again!

First visit & was hard to find the small building (behind clay casa)… Spinach/artichoke dip great. Asian salmon salad very salty but still good. Cheeseburger/fries huge & very yum. Italian cream cake very yum. Service and/or kitchen very slow (Saturday lunch). Lots of other items look good on the menu so we will be back when we are in town.
