Stopped by this location on the way back from a trip to Austin. There used to be a Los Cucos by my work, but they closed down without warning. My favorite thing to get was the stuffed avocados, so imagine my excitement when I realized there was another Los Cucos en route. This location seemed dark and dingy, the tables sticky and cleaned hastily. The server was painfully slow and unprofessional, I almost asked to speak to a manager, but decided against it. When my meal finally arrived, it was lukewarm like it had been sitting around for the while. The stuffed avocado cooled so much that the cheese was rubbery and the chicken dry and overcooked. Just an all-around disappointment. jetsetbeaudets.blogspot.com
Not good food.. My husband and I LOVE Mexican restaurants, so when we were on a trip recently to New Braunsfels, we thought we would stop in for dinner. We ordered cheese enchiladas and chicken soft tacos. The enchiladas were not great, but were edible. The chicken soft tacos were not. I was unfortunately only able to take one bite and that was enough for me. The chicken was not good at all and when I looked at it, I realized that it was dried, shriveled and crispy, like it had been in a pan for hours. Also, expensive for what we got. For those two plates, with rice and beans, it was $35. Would not go back.
