Just so so. Anyone can deep fry seafood. If I order it at a restaurant I’d prefer it not be this greasy. The sides are definitely made or pre-ordered in large batches. Nothing special.
Dissapointed and done. After many trips to McAdoo’s over the years I am now done with them. For the last year things have been heading downward. Wait staff, food quality, food availability, and taste, I’d rather eat a sack lunch in the park then pay these prices for sorry food. Good food does not have to be expensive but expensive food should be great!!!
Service. We go to McAdoos quite often, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the service is absolutely awful and seems to get worse each time we go, this place needs new management.
Restaurant does not honor reservations. Arrived at 6:40 p.m. for a 6:45 p.m. reservation. Not seated until 7:10 p.m. No reason given. Evidently this restaurant does not honor reservations….
Best oysters in town. The waiting staff is great and in formative and the food speaks for itself. This will continue to be my favorite restaurant in town.
Great for Business Lunch. The gumbo was excellent. Great place for lunch and not too crowded. They had many things on the menu that looked really good. And the building is an old post office. What a great atmosphere. It was neat to see how the restaurant incorporated many of the post office fixtures in the decor. We will definitely go back!
The menu seemed excellent, and the food would be worth the price if it was warm. The place was not packed, so I didn’t understand why we had three servers. This obviously resulted in a lack of communication, as our entrees arrived with our appetizer, despite our being assured that the order wouldn’t be put in until we were finished with the appetizer. Our drink orders were messed up as well. We felt rushed, which was disappointing because the restaurant has done a wonderful job renovating the post office building. Long story short: the atmosphere is wonderful, but the service falls desperately short.
