Nothing Special About the Specials. Had the turkey sandwich with pinto beans. The turkey was basically like cold lunch meat. Was pretty average. Especially for $8.00! Pretty expensive for lunch I thought. Service was okay. Would not go back.
Hickory-Smoked Bone-In Ham Is Outstanding. I have for years now ordered The Original Smokehouse Hickory-Smoked Ham from these folks to serve as a part of our family Thanksgiving fare. It is as much a part of our family tradition as is the turkey.I have tried other hams, including Smithfield’s from one state over, but nothing tops this ham for taste, tenderness, and smokiness. I order the whole, bone-in ham in the 15 – 17 lbs. range ($98.95) – I just prefer to slice it myself, but they offer spiral cut, if you wish. The ham is fully cooked, you just need to heat it through, cut, and serve. If you try this ham you will not be standing in line at your local celestial ham emporium during the holidays – they’ll ship it right to your door – got mine Wednesday, just in time for turkey day.Their other smoked meats, especially the Beef sausages, are also excellent. This time I added some of the Smoked Beef Brisket along with a bottle of their Texas BBQ Sauce – all very, very good. Their products are not inexpensive, but the quality is worth the price.
Enjoyed the BBQ, sides were good. Service was excellent, bought some beef jerky at the store and enjoyed that also.
