Needing my menudo fix while staying in Gruene. This little place has excellent menudo and barbacoa. Breakfast tacos also great. Will definitely hit this place up next time I am tubing and drinking. Cash only.
New Braunfels Tortilleria is WONDERFUL. We discovered New Braunfels Tortilleria by accident in 1981. We have been going there ever since. It is where my family gathers on weekends. This is a small family owned restaurant. The food is absolutely WONDERFUL. The people are WONDERFUL, too. This is NOT a fancy restaurant, by any means. It started as a small place that made torillias, and it grew from there. Their menudo is second to none. Their enchiladas are so very good. I could go on and on about how good their food is. My children and grandchildren all have their favorite foods that they regularly order. For me, there are so many favorites that it is always hard to choose. If you are looking for a little undiscovered, inexpensive, family owned restaurant, that has authentic and very good Mexican food, New Braunfels Tortilleria is the place to go.
