I won’t be back. Not because of the food, but because of the poor service.I have been to this Newk’s a number of times and have always enjoyed the food. This time I decided to try to Ahi Tuna sandwich, a decision I regretted as soon as our food showed up. The menu lists a tangy dill sauce on the sandwich, but mine was completely flavorless. I mean zero flavor, dill or otherwise. It was the tuna and a little lettuce on French bread. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. It is how a restaurant responds and corrects mistakes that matters. No one came by our table even once to ask if we were satisfied with our meals. As we were getting ready to leave, no one came and enquired about the whole sandwich still sitting on my plate. (There was only 1 other customer in the restaurant at the time, so they were not busy)There are too many good restaurants with both good food and good service to give restaurants that fail to meet expectations a second chance. I will not be back to Newks
Food is good, service is horrendous! We sat at a dirty table for nearly 20 minutes before having to ask (twice) for it to be cleaned. It took so long for our salads to be served, my daughter had to get hers boxed to go; spent her entire lunch hour waiting. Complete chaos with the wait staff. Even though we were given a number when we ordered, the waiters were wandering the floor with trays of food asking tables what they had ordered. Not impressed!!
