Pats place is just sweet! I LOVED out waitress very patient and got to us! There was a variety of food to choose from which made it that more exciting! I myself am a healthy eater and chose the chicken salad but had them give me green beans instead of chips and wheat bread instead of white and they were happy to do so! The sweet tea I had to try! It was very satisfying! I adore the venue and the adorable Irish set up it gave off! Next time I’m in town I will make sure to stop by!

User reviews. My favorite restaraunt in New Braunfels! The menu is full of great food, their hamburger is the best I’ve ever had, and I love the french fries and onion rings! Even the chicken strips are delicious! The place has lots of history to it, and the walls are covered in old posters and such. It makes it look really cool!Would DEFINITELY recommend!

Nice alternative. We were in New Braunfels for a business meeting and ate at Pat’s on recommendation from someone who had frequented it in the past. What a hoot! 15 minute wait for lunch, but they kept coming. Fried pickles were good, but needed more seasoning. Grilled chicken sandwich and cheeseburger were both excellent. The buns melt in your mouth. Waitress told us the bread is brought in fresh every day, buttered and toasted. Atmosphere was nice and unimposing. This is a great little place that is simple, has good service, and has good food. Reminds of the days before the big chains.

I have eaten here before and had a hamburger and fries and thought it was good. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before ordering. I ordered the chicken fried steak and agree with the reviewer that it was the best chicken fried steak that Sysco had. That is unfortunate because everything else tasted home made (tasty gravy which kind of salvaged the CFS, salad dressing and mashed potatoes). If they would just bread a real piece of meat themselves it would all be great. I would come here again but will stick with hamburger and fries.

Awesome vintage buger cafe. Really truly good rounded well made burger, with fresh cut fries, beverages served in glass. Great friendly servers and staff. Good food , for great fair, especially after a long day doing river play. Cool air, friendly people, clean, and great classic food! What a great little treasure!

I honestly don’t know what some of the negative reviewers of Pat’s Place were expecting. If you want trendy and overpriced, go to Myron’s. Personally, I’ll opt for Pat’s any day. Ice cold draft Shiner, onion rings, and a menu with enough options to suit everyone in the party. Cheese enchilada, chicken-fried chicken plate, burgers, sandwiches…all there. Great food and great times!

Don’t waste your time. Went in there Sunday, 8-19-12 around 6 pm. We were a party of 7 including 3 kids. We were seated pretty fast and drink orders went smooth. 3 of us ordered the chicken fried steak. Kids ordered normal kid stuff. Other adult ordered a plate of nachos. The salads that came with our CFS plates were good, cold, and seemed like homemade dressing. When the CFS arrived, what a letdown. My first remark was this looks like the best CFS that SYSCO makes. These things are called beef fritters anywhere else. Mystery meat with that processed machine tracks look on the breading and meat less than a 1/8 inch thick that was cooked almost to shoe leather condition. I’ve heard that the burgers are pretty good, but I’m not going back to take a chance.
