Great service. Excellent selection of Texas craft beers. Chili was as good as we had heard but my wife’s burger was better than we expected. Seriously she rates it as one of the best she has ever had. I left my car keys on the bar and the bartender ran down the street to give them to me. Thank you!

The chili is unique and was tasty and I ordered mine in the middle heat range and it was right for a person like me who likes spicy. The chili has big chunks of meat with no beans and it works. The burger my wife ordered was a different matter. The menu states medium well on the doneness and it arrived beyond well done with no moisture to be had. The wedge fries were good and could have better if served hot to the table. It is order at the bar with no table service to be had except for the food being brought to the table, and the food takes a surprisingly long time. For this formula to be worth a return visit, the food needs to be better!

Disappointed. Having seen a great review about the chili on TheTravel Channel, I wanted to go to go to the Phoenix Saloon while visiting my daughter in San Antonio over the holidays. We went on the Sunday after Christmas about 1:15. We placed our simple order for four and waited over an hour for it to be served. The chili was cold. The service was slow. More people on the wait staff might alleviate the problem. I would not go back.
Great greasy chili, burgers, steak fries, and homemade corn bread. And you can drink yourself silly! Need I say more?
Lots of beer options! Pretty slow preparing food. Chili is good!
